With a situation like this, always go back to the last thing you did. If it started before you replaced the ignition, then did not start after, it's time to revisit the ignition you replaced. Sounds like you are not getting spark to the plug now.

I do believe that is your overflow,as stated earlier stuck float. Try tapping lightly on the carb with a very small hammer, then ride it and see if it has stopped.

The last line of the article sounded real familiar. Anyone else pick that up? John That was really obvious, was it not. It just so happens that what you meet the nicest people on is my current ride and has been since 2003 when I purchased my Shadow.

There's a piston right there,,,never dealt with him myself but have seen and heard nothing but good from him,,,even to the point of helping people out with icebear machines they got from other dealers/sources That is exactly the case with me. I can not tell you how much help Jim is being. Thanks to him, my wife will soon be riding with me.

Just wanted to let folks know what a great guy Jim is. He just got off the phone with my wife and it looks like a large problem we have is going to be worked out, this problem has nothing to do with Jim's business which makes it all the more important for everyone to know what a stand up guy Jim is. Whenever I need parts for my wife's Ice Bear,Jim is the only person I will deal with. I hope my statement will bring Rapid Repair much business. Thank You Jim.

Have to agree. Sounds like the kill switch is where the problem is.

I been getting on mine like its a horse too. Don't like the ride and handling of low bikes. Finally got rid of a majesty 400, almost flat gave it away. Got back hurting and the rear suspension on it was damn near as bad as one of them harleys with no rear springs! Now I got some where around 9 inchs of soft soft ride./ I have a mono shock in my bike and many years ago I had fractured my tail bone, so I had a custom seat made to help with that. So far ,so good,I think, I just may have lost all feeling there.

lol it's not the age,,, it's the mileage,,,, misspent youth,,, that's all I'll admit to,,, after that i take the 5th under questioning I'm afraid in my case it's both. However it was worth every minute and that's all I'm gonna say bout that.

I can relate,, I get on my motorcycles like a horse now,,, I stand on the peg stand up then swing the leg over,,, I got tired of replacing opposite side rear turn signals,,, i have half a dozen or so of them with broken stalks but theyre perfectly fine except the stalk,,, Sounds cool. I have one of the Honda Shadows now that sits lower than a low rider, so far I can get on and off without killing myself. Oh yea, no broken turn signals ........yet.

Let us know how it goes!!! Right now the trike will start right up if you give it a bit of throttle. I think I will leave it that way, this is all a new experience for my wife as she is used to riding on the back of my bike so the learning process will be with a totally clean slate . Due to a knee replacement and spine surgery on both the upper and lower back, she can no longer lift her leg high enough to get on the bike. I have been ridding since I was a very young fellow and during the forty years we have been together ,my wife has been my riding partner. This trike is a perfect solution for us to keep going together.

I don't think you have a lot to worry about with the auto enricher, they seem to be pretty reliable and are easy to change if they do fail. I was always going to try to come up with one on my 150 or cobble up one but a neighbors dog ended the life of said scooter. Much more Common on these scooters are the bad electrical connections and faulty mechanical mating up. Have said before , I view these scooters as a almost ready to ride kit that we need to keep ahead on maintanance. Yep, I have already done quite a bit of maintenance on this trike. It had sat for over a year due to health problems of the original owner. Trike had 8 miles on it when I bought it, yeah you read that right ,8 miles. I drove it a 120 miles home with the four ways on because it had no taillight. Not really a good idea on I 95, trust me. The taillight was a poor wiring problem that I took care of along with fluid changes, fastener, bolt and nut tightening and some minor fix ups as well as overheating problems. I am confident enough with it to put my wife on it now. I really appreciate the responses from everyone here, many thanks.

If I'm not mistaken he got it on eBay,,, I have manual everything on my scooter,,, choke petcock transmission ,,, I like it that way Yeah, the way to go. I have done e bay and google searches for a manual one to no avail. I am going to try a bit more before I give up and order the electric one. The trike is for my wife and I just don't want any problems on the road. Thanks for your help.

Hello . I read in some old posts that Ally, you know who I'm sure, Had a manual enricher on his trike. Would you by any chance know where he got it ? I would prefer to go that route if possible, thanks.
