Partsforscooters.com has many of the parts you need. Roketa has a website. I bought parts from them but that was years ago.

See if it has service records, try to get a test ride and see how it sounds and feels. Look over the plastic for condition. You can't go too wrong with a Honda in any case.

Look through the manuals in the tech section here and at It is the Ride. Maybe a hint will pop out.

When dealing with these problems you have to eliminate things. The instrument panel going blank Is a pretty good indication of a dead battery.
A little background. This past Saturday my Kawasaki started fine and everything lit. I then hustled down to Westchester on a parkway to attend a motorcycle event. I got there, the directionals weren't working and the bike stalled out. After getting a jump I made it home.
I dragged out the volt/ohmmeter and did a load check. Voltage with nothing on, 12.5 volts. Turn on the key and lights come on, 11.9 volts. Hit the starter button and it spins slowly, 5.5 volts. Battery dead, new one on order.
Repeat my tests on your scooter. Batteries go dead at the drop of a hat. Mine probably had a cell go bad on the ride down.
Also check your battery connections and the ground wire attachment to the chassis. A bad ground can case troubles too.

There are no Scooter Groups in this region so I have to ride with the Harleys. There were other brands in this gathering but the predominate brand is from Milwaukee. This particular event was a fundraiser for a deceased member of the local Red Knights Motorcycle Club. It started at Woodstock Harley Davidson and traveled through the scenic roads of Ulster County. The run around the Ashokan Reservoir was quite impressive and after that the organizers kept us on twisty back roads. Riding a fifteen horsepower Chinese scooter among the 100 cubic inch V-Twins is always a challenge. They can slow down at the base of hills and then scale them with a twist of the throttle. Chasing them without a gearbox is the fun part. I generally try to keep momentum up to keep my speed up and not hold up the riders behind me. It makes for an interesting day. The ride ended in Port Ewen, NY at an Ice Cream/Food establishment that has become one of the local groups hang outs. It's always fun to be the only scooter on the ride. I have another ride to do next week but maybe I'll use the 750 next time.

The seat opens by turning the key counter clockwise. Is the speedo cable broken or disconnected There should be a kick start on the left side of the engine unless the mechanism was removed. Is fuel leaking or is it just the exhaust smelling gasy.

What year are they and are you sure the cable goes to the choke? The choke should have a separate actuating device.

I would start at the steering head bearings. Either they are badly out of adjustment, lack grease or broken.

Fuse, ground, loose connection. Something is not connected anymore or a wire is rubbed through someplace.
