There is along thin glove compartment that's opened by your key in the dashboard in front. The fuse box is in there. Check those.

The Linhai was a pretty good engine as long as you don't run the crap out of it. The biggest knock on it was that valve adjustments were a PIA. It wasn't meant to run wide open on Interstates.

Pull out the bulb and check with a volt/ohmmeter and see if the socket has power. If not check the wiring into the socket and see if there is a good connection or power there. If so start back tracking the wire to make sure it isn't broken or a connector is pulled out of a circuit connector.

Have you checked the valve clearances? Generally scooters have their valve clearances tighten up causing a lack of compression when hot. Usually it's .004 inch for the intake and .005 for the exhaust and as a rule it's the exhaust valve that tightens up worst.

Take it apart and see. One of the rollers could be stuck and jamming the CVT into the engaged position. If not that check the clutch. One arm on the pads could be stuck.

You might check and see if the solenoid is grounded properly. If not the solenoid may become a resistor. But that's just a guess.

Check the wiring. When you say "off the stand" do you mean side stand or center stand. If it's the center stand a wire may be dislocated when it hits the ground. Or it has a bare spot that grounds out or the ground wire from the engine to the frame is pulling off the ground bolt.

Have you posted details of the trip elsewhere? Riding cross country on a 50cc is an epic voyage and the telling of the saga would be great to read about.

Get a volt/ohmmeter and check for continuity between the flasher and the socket. Heck. Check for continuity between the socket and the wire into it. Sockets go bad sometimes.

You could try www.partsforscooters.com but the 125cc GY6 is not common to the U.S. It's very common in Britain. Maybe there are sites that ship internationally.

Did it work properly before this? Chinese speedometers are notoriously unreliable. If there's a wire to the back wheel wheel it may be like a bicycle speedometer and there's a magnet and sensor.

The Stella was sold by Genuine. Search their website to find the nearest dealer. Normally I would recommend finding a lawnmower, snowmobile, lawn tractor repair shop but parts for a Stella are not an everyday item.
