The capacity of a GY6 is about 7/8 of a quart. One quart is too much.

Whenever I hear that a scooter won't accelerate over 25 mph I think a vacuum line fell off or the fuel tank vent canister got filled with gas.

There must still be something going on with your enrichener circuit. It runs fine when warm, you start it with a choke method by using your hand which rules out a vacuum leak. I would reconnect the choke and see what happens. It might be stuck.

I third that. If it has 155 psi it's fine. Wolf brand scooters are Znen and are usually well built.

Shinko tires are made by the company that bought the motorcycle tire division of Yokohama. They're fine. I put a Cheng Shin tire on my 150cc scooter, but they don't sell them anymore. I paid $23.00, shipped, from Bike Bandit. The traction was fine and the tire has lasted almost 5,000 miles so far and it's only a 10" wheel. I'll replace it this summer with either a Kenda or Shinko. www.motorcycle-usa.com/402/116/Motorcycle-Article/Shinko-Stealth-Tire-Review.aspx

Maybe a good used car would have been a better mode of transportation for her, like in the rain, or winter days, or at night. Maybe she rode a scooter cause it was all she could afford, but wasn't a real scooter enthusiast. Not bashing, just wondering. But, a new scooter is always nice I had a couple of thoughts. She may not even have a driver's license. In some states you don't need a license to ride one. The "Duct Tape" scooter may have been a Japanese scooter. Old ones had engines that you just couldn't kill. Now she has a shiny new Chinese scooter. What happens at valve adjustment time? I understand the difference between an enthusiast and a plain owner, but think of this. She bundles up and rides in the cold, which even in Arizona can drop into the 30s, and uses it year round. I have a lot of respect for that. At least she's using it and not just riding to Starbuck's on Sunday. Scooters are really meant to be used that way. They're a little more utilitarian than 180 horse crotch rockets.

You can thank the other Brits who post here for anyone even knowing what a Lexmoto is. I've heard of WK through the Australian CF Moto site and the company's involvement with racing at the Isle of Man. Either bike will give you excellent service. Be safe and have fun. Come back and let us know what you bought when you do get it.

Stay calm Rich. The "Bikes" he's asking about look like this. www.lexmoto.co.uk/KS125-24.phpA WK 125 is the CF Moto Leader, a fabulous bike. Chinese scooters are not the same as Chinese motorcycles. The motorcycles have proven to be made of much sterner stuff. If you can afford the WK, please do.I see the Lexmoto XTR costs $2016 US Dollars. It will probably be a good bike for you. If you can buy a WK for a little more, do it. I have a Chinese 50cc bike and it puts my Chinese scooters to shame. In five years it has needed two screws replaced, one tail light bulb and one battery. I ride it everywhere and the bike rocks. Considering that the SYM Wolf 150 costs $3,000.00 here, his prices are right on track.

The Kenda is a fine tire. Unlike a motorcycle with about a 45/55 percent weight bias, front versus rear. A scooter has like no weight on the front. My 150cc is about ready to have a second rear tire (three if you count the original) but the front still looks new after almost 8,000 miles. My Fashion is about the same after the same mileage. It's the rear tire on a scooter that carries the load.

That's why they put steering dampers on big street bikes. Has your front tire been balanced, are your steering bearings greased and tightened properly? If you run a string from your front tire to the rear tire is the frame straight? Believe or not you could have a worn engine pivot and the rear is flopping around slightly throwing things off kilter. Are your tires properly inflated?
