Harleyann, you can use 3m trim adhesive, you can buy at most auto parts stores.

As a member of the Modern Vespa forum I can say that Jess ( the petty tyrant) and admin. does not allow members to put other riders down for what they ride, in fact the poster in question was new and hasn't posted since and you'll notice that nobody responded to his remark.

Ginny, if the paint on the tank is not original then there may have been bodywork done on the tank, if you use paint remover you will also have to redo the bodywork . The paint remover is really nasty stuff but will be much faster than sanding, just remember to wash it down thoroughly with water and use a metal prep solution before priming. Dan.
