just read his thread it ended pretty abruptly. Seems like a lot of stuff to add. Maybe simpler is better in my case. Maybe i could find one of those Yoshimura carbs with a spray bar build in to the slider tube. EDIT: found link with a video, www.yoshimura-jp.com/en/products/engine/carburator.html

I don't hink the chain guide is a problem, but i would replace it just for chuckles..ya..the piston has been slapping...it is a design flaw in these pistons the rings should be spaced out more to pervent the skirts from contacting the cylindar walls...get some wear on those oil rings..and the slappin' starts. I compared a gy6 piston to a honda s65 piston. the original honda design has the rings much further apart.

hhhmmm i may have to torq it down next time, usually i let my dad snug it up with the impact since he knows better than to break it off or stripe the threads or over tighten. It seems there is much less to go wrong torqing it down, the problem is holding it perfectly still while torqing.

if it's chain drive you could technically put any engine you want in there.

New belts should be sanded on the edges that touch the pulleys..there is a varnish coating to keep the belts fresh and the pulleys can be roughed up with 120 grit emery cloth... ya don't say... whats this do for the CVT? does it make it catch better or run smoother?

If you can't find a new case you could possibly have someone who can weld pre heat it up pretty war/hot and try and weld it, hopefully it wouldn't warp (hence pre heating).

I used to ride little VIP 60cc with similar color scheme, nice little scoot, my god the miles put on that thing. Then i got JmStar with much bigger wheels and nicer ride but, slower speed.

I actually have small tool/backup kit for my head bulb just in case it goes out, my self. I dropped in one of those xenon bulbs but, read they have a lower life span, so thats i why i pack the back up kit in the glove box.
