I found the perfect funnel for oil changes on the gy6 engines at O'Reillys for around three or four bucks. It has a handle built onto the main body of the funnel. It also is marked in ml's and shows 750ml plainly on the side. (no more guessing about how much I put in) Has about a 12" clear vinyl tube on the bottom with a plug in it. Makes oil changes easy peasy!

Yesterday was so nice I just couldn't resist! Got the scoot out of "mothballs". It started right up with no problem. Rode to the auto parts store and invested in a can of "sea foam". Then to the Shell station for a 93 octane fill-up. Put in about three or four capsfull of SF and then filled it. Shook it, started it and away we went! (my scoot and I) Rode about 15 or 20 miles, just around town, probably an hour or so. Showing off my new chrome cvt cover and new chrome kick starter! I noticed the instructions on the can said 1 oz per gallon of gasoline. I don't think that 4 caps full is anywhere near an oz, though. Gonna check today and find out. When I put it up for the winter, i did neglect to drain the gas from the carb and tank. It was just a bit sluggish on acceleration and was running just a little rough, but not bad, however it didn't want to idle correctly, cold or hot. After putting the Sea Foam in it seemed the farther I rode it the better it ran! I did notice quite a difference in acceleration toward the end of the ride and the idle was stabilized at around 14 to 1500 rpm. This stuff really works! I think I'll be using it in my mowers, too. I also purchased a "float charger" at Harbour Freight, too. Instructions said not to leave it connected to the battery when driving the vehicle, though, or words to that effect. Crap! That's what I bought it for! Well with a little "southern enginuity" (sorry about that spelling, not sure if it's correct) I took care of the problem. I cut the alligator clips off the charger and installed some 'bullet' connecters. took a piece of red wire and a piece of black wire and installed "rings' on one end and bullet connecters on the other. Bolted the rings to the batt terminals and ran them out the vent in the valvecover access door. Now all I have to do it connect the bullets to their respective color and plug in the float charger! viola! Don't have to remove the rubber mat, which is a pain in the butt, or the batt access door to do it, either! Last fall, I had some problems with the scoot rattling as i rode. As a matter of fact it sounded like it was falling apart! Rattle was coming from the front and the rear. I discovered that there were screws missing on the underside of the nose cowling and it was flopping badly. Scrounged around and found some screws that would fit and solved that problem, but the rattle persisted in the rear! Annoying as all hell! So, I took the storage box off the rear and put the luggage rack back on a couple of weeks ago. No rattles anywhere now! It's a pleasure to ride! That box wouldn't hold my 3/4 helmet anyways so I really am not going to miss it. In addition I think the scoot actually looks better without the box! Next thing on the agenda is a chrome luggage rack, though. LOL Does it ever end? Probably not! At least as long as the wife doesn't say too much about the mney being spent on it! ROFLMAO!

Turn signals are required in Indiana, if they were factory signals from the manufacturer.

Scooter elements: I guess that's what I should have done in the first place! and Sprocket, yes. I did remove the bolt completely before trying to install the danged thing since the bolt actually fits in a grove in the shaft. I think I'm going to have to invest in a small puller to get the kick starter off when a change of belt time comes. That way I won't be pulling the "innards" out with the shaft.

I think you lucked out by charging that battery hooked up in the scoot, this time. Hope your luck continues to hold out. I never charge a battery that is connected to the vehicle. Tried that one time when I was working for a chrysler/Plymouth dealership, when I was 17 years od. The owner of the dealership had a coniption fit when he saw what I was doing! Told me to "get that da#$ed battery disconnected and check the water in it and charge it right, or it's out the door for you!" Lesson learned very quickly! BTW. I'm 72 years old not!

I live in the east central part on Indiana, where the temps this time of year are a bit fickle to say the least. One day it's 65 to 70 and the next is 25 to 35! Not quite ready to get the scoot out yet. Looks as if it's gonna be another two weeks or so. The first part of April, I'm going to have to ride to Elwood, which is a good 38 to 40 mile one way to take the mc endorsement operating test. Not worried about the test at all, since it is a very simple course, but I think I'll trailer my scoot over there and then ride it in to the test area. Can't trailer it directly to the test area, though. State law says that you have to ride it in! I know, crazy! But after all, this is Indiana. The BMV has nothing to do with the testing in this state! They have "partnered" with Abate and that is who conducts the tests. Upon passing the test they issue a certification that you take to the BMV, if you can find one open, and present it for your endorsement. I cana't wait for the weather to break and see the sun every day. I'm sick of the dark gloomy cloudy days!

I received my chrome kick starter the other day and was thrilled! Went to the garage to install it and wow! was I surprised! The old one came off with no problem. (I had already had it off once to install the chrome cvt cover) I started to put the kick starter onto the shaft and lo and behold, it wouldn't go on! I compared the splines on the new and the old and they apeared to be identical. Hmmm. Mabey just needs a bit of persuasion, so I went to my tool box and out omes the rubber mallet! Tap, tap tap, gently on the starter. It finally starts onto the shaft, but only about 1/16 to 1/8 inch and it stops! wiggled it back off just to make certain that it ws going on properly and not screwing up the spline. Everything seemed to appear that it was fitting alright, so I start it again! Tap tap tap again! Then a bit harder smack smack smack! Nothing! then WHAM WHAM WHAM! Still not going on! HUH? is wrong with this thing? So I dug around in my tool box, looking for something I could use as a wedge to force into the split where the bolt goes and found my heavy heavy screw driver. Uh huh! This should work! I tried slipping the screw driver into the end of the split. That didn't work at all. So I pushed it into the split from the front of the kick start and whacked it with the rubber mallet. It started on a bit farther, then I just went ape sh!t on the darned thing and WHAM WHAM WHAM! Yepper! Drove that sucker tright onto the shaft! I have no idea if I'm gonna be able to aget the damned thing back off when I have to replace a belt, but it's on there now! LOL Anyone else have a similar problem? I sure like to hear how you rectified it!

evilgeniius: The problem isn't that the side stand collapses on her scooter when down! The problem is with all chinese scoots the side stand just isn't stable! Even the slightest bump or the sllightest gust of wind will knock the scoot over when on the side stand!
I wish there was someting I could recommend but quite frankly I don't see any alternative than to take your chances on using the side stand and pray that nothing happens until you can get a new center stand or continue to ask for help in getting the scooter on the center stand. Better to ask for help than to have it fall over!

Would anyone happen to know where I could find a bolt set for a 150cc cvt case, long case engine in Stainless steel or chrome preferably with allen screw heads? I guess hex head type would work. I really don't want to use the black OEM bolts with a new chrome case.

Just viewed your vid alley. That sound is awsome (if a 71 y/o is allowed to use that word!) It's not offensive at all! Very nice low rumble.
