Has anyone checked out the parts on E-bay that zoomboys, of St. Petersburg, FL is selling? What the heck is going on with these guys? Instrument panel bulb, 12v 1.7 w for $31.99! That bulb is available at the local auto parts store for $1.09! Now that's what I call a right nice profit, or maybe just a rip-off!

For security, my scooter stays in the locked garage when not being ridden. When out riding and decide to stop for anything I always park it where I can see it at all times. Woe be unto the theif that takes it. He will eventually face the wrath of a baseball bat, or the 20 ga. that hangs on my wall!

I got my first 2 wheeler ('47 Indian chief) when I was 21 years old. Been riding ever since and I'm 71. The "good ole boy" that helped me get that Indian running told me, in his slow southern drawl, "When you start ridin' you gotta ride like everybody on the road is out to run you over, cause they are!" I found that to be somewhat true and to this day, still ride like that. It''s just using your head for something besides a brain bucket.

I've been meaning to mention this for some time now, but have only now gotten around to doing it. I would like to thank whoever is responsible for read posts highlighting in blue! That feature isn't available on any of the other scooter forums to which I belong! It really makes reading posts much easier for me. Again my thanks.

Does anyone on the board have any idea who "Rushbag" out of St. Pete FL. is? Also known as Zoomboys. Their prices seem to be just a bit on the high side, for instance; there is a couple of circle clamps, about 12 inches of clear reinforced vinyl hose and two nipples that they are calling a "kit" for the "low" price of $38.99! This looks to me like about $1.50 worth of hose/tubing, 2 $.35 clamps and a couple of $1.85 nipples! I also saw where they were selling a "filter screen" for 50cc/150cc gy6 engines for something like $49.99! These people seem like the type to stay very far away from! Just my opinion.

I would love to see every restaurant in the country offer free meals to vets on veterans day! It's the least they can do to show their appreciation for the service and sacrifices.
I'm not a veteran, though. Way back in 1958 I was designated 4-F, after attempting to enlist in the Army and the Navy. Twice for the Army and three times for the Navy. Had just graduated from high school and there were 4 of us fellows enlisted at the same time. I practically begged to be inducted!
Had three uncles that served in WWII, only one survived. One killed in France during the invasion, one killed in the Philippines. Had a younger brother that served in Nam.

The law in the state in which I live one has to be 15 years old, wear a helmet, no passengers and no riding between sundown and sunup, but I live in a small town of about 8000 people and the local law enforcement enforces nothing! 12 and 13 year olds ride here all the time. As a matter of fact it was only a week or two ago that three boys (that's right, three) went flying by my house on their scooter. (take note 3 boys on one scooter!) Happens all the time in this town!

I have to believe that it's as safe as you getting out on one, or me for that matter, as I'm 71.

Even though the e-bay ad said that the batt was fully charged, you should make sure that it is. Put it on a charger and bring it up to full charge, this could solve all your problems.

Just a quick bit of advice. Hook your exhaust back up before you start it, and of course replace the plug.

I ran into a battery problem with the 50cc that I assembled. Bought one from a dealership, but it was too big to fit into the battery box. I didn't measure the box. Big mistake. I had to do all kinds of surgery on the box to get it to fit. Just make certain that you get GOOD measurements on the Box itself and that any bettery you get falls within those measurements. I don't buy batteries off e-bay, though. I like to have it in front of me so I can actually measure it myself.
