Alleyoop: I noticed it gave the gravity flow rate, but can these be used for a scooter with a fuel pump? BB

Hey Dorian, I responded to you in another thread, so I hate to be redundant. However, I don't know if you knew that California had a recall on this scooters because of its fuel filter breaking apart. You can google it if you care too. Take care.

No man, he said $200.00! That's a steal, the scrap metal is worth that. Rich I know what he said. I rarely pay over $150 for a ped. He also said that they are going for $500-$1000. I was simply letting him know that there is no way he would re-sell it for $1000 once it is fixed up. People say all the time that, "fixed up" it would be worth this or that in the hopes that you will buy it. Those prices are what they are going for around here, at least in my quick search of craigs list and some other recyclers. Well, I bought the ped for $180. It ran, but would not stay idling, however, it doesn't matter. I already have the motor off...tearing it down. I just want to see if I can strip it down and put it back together with newer parts.

you just answered the question your self. 500-1000 Ha, that's true to a degree. I did a quick search for about ten minutes, so from what I have seen ain't much. Old ancient proverb..."there is wisdom in a multitude of counselors. "

Hey guys, I am thinking of buying a 1979 motobecane mobylette 50v for $200. From what I have seen they are going between $500-$1000.
Body looks good. He says it runs, but needs tune up.
Think it's worth the price? I would love to have a project for restoration.

I see those kinds of things advertised for motorcycles, I don't know why they shouldn't work for scooters too. That reminds me, is there anything more bonehead looking than some idiot smoking on a bike? Rich Yah, for .99cts it made my day. Smoking.....lol

One thing I have missed since I started riding my scooter to work is my coffee on the way there. Well, I bought a .99 cup holder that hangs real nice from the grocery hook, and now I get to sip at red lights.

@ Bashan: I live in El Segundo, CA. Near Manhattan Beach or Venice Beach. I think people who live in conjested cities really see the practicality of owning a scoot. Plus, they are just fun to cruise along the coast. There has only been one day that I have not been able to ride my scoot to work this winter....that might be the difference as well.

Since, I bought my two scooters in the last 4 months my friends are turning to them as well. It might be that I'm always talking about the saving on gas every month, because its hard not to talk about that...and of course, the other benefits.
One friend is going to buy the 2010 Elite 108cc this week. The circle is growing.
How about you?

We are certainly over $4 a gallon here in SoCal. I am not looking forward to the price of gas this spring, but having a scooter sure does put my mind at ease.
