I believe it's an egr. I have read some good threads about what to do. Since, I don't have one on this motor, I believe I just need to plug the nipple on the intake manifold.

I was hoping you would chime in Alley. after you posted this, I feel really dumb right now. I ran out to the garage to look again and realized it actually come from the side of the valve cover. When the motor is in, it's on the bottom, where the exhaust is and.... Dumb! Sorry for the the confusion.
So, it is a chrome pipe bolted onto to the side. It's not on the valve cover, but right beside it.
Thanks!
I will search the sight again, now that I have that corrected.

plug it off it was a carcoal canaster for emissions you will be better of without it Hey buggin, this is different. I plugged the canister, which comes from the gas tank. This is coming from the exhaust.

It's running! I just need to figure out why it sounds like a go cart. It sounds like there is an exhaust leak at the motor. I took it off and the gasket looks good. Can't figure it out.

My old motor had a chrome tube coming off an exhaust port, but my new motor does not. It run up the frame to what looks like a vacuum valve where one tube goes to open air and another runs back down to a a nub on the side of the intake manifold. Is this some kind of recirculating device.
Just to be clear its not the charcoal canister
The only thing I can think of doing is plugging the tube that remains.
If someone can tell me what it is I would be grateful.

SAE 90 and 85w-90 are essentially the same... the "85w" in "85w-90" just means that it's a multi-viscosity oil, and acts like an 85 weight oil at 32 degress F - the cold temperature rating that's denoted by the "w". At 100 degrees F (the hot temp rating), it acts just like a single-grade 90 weight oil. www.substech.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=gear_oils#viscosity_of_gear_oils Bob Hey, thanks. This was exactly what I was looking for.

I have been trying to figure out if there is difference in SAE 90 and 85w-90. Besides the obvious difference in the numbers, is there a difference in the type of oil. My scoot calls for SAE 90.

I have the 2010 110 cc Honda. It is the smoothest running scoot I have ever driven. It beats my 150, well it beat it; the 150 is dead now. The quality of Honda amazing. Are you gonna get that 150?
