picture of the chopper I was surprised he was able to ride it like that! with those tall handle bars and slap shifting I know a lot of people who couldnt ride it with a good throttle cable! If u look close by the seat springs u can see the shifter made of welded logging chain and dice as ur handle.

My buddys throttle cable broke on him on a custom chopper motorcycle with 18inch handle bars and a suicide shifter he rode it home just reaching with his finger to the carb and operating the throttle while riding one handed with ape hanger bars and has to try to shift! He needed a extra set of hands I followed him on my scoot and he made it little swirly trying to ride and shift with the jockey shifter and hand clutch! he burnt the crap out of his hand but was definitely better then pushing it 7miles!

I tried to get mine lose with a air compressed impact gun no luck at all!!! I thought maybe the gun was junk cause it was old or maybe our Sears Roebuck compressor was out of date since they are all now Craftsman name brands not been labled sears for a long time lol! but maybe ill try heating the bolt up to weaken the Locktite I didnt think of that. But our air compressor will only pump up to 60lbs outlet pressure dont think my Dad has done any maintaince to it since he got it!

yeah I learned that the hard way to Never jump ur scoot off ur car battery!!! only use a battery charger the slower the charge the better for ur battery. I didnt even hook it up reversed and I read it died on u after u first jumped it thats when u fried things! Mine did the same died instantly! I had to replace the stator and voltage regulator all my light bulbs almost everything electrical never did get my dash lights to work or my rear taillights and license plate light. Was a lesson learned but was glad I did it to my old 150cc not my new 250 Bali! Jr knows what hes talking about hes got same Lihani motor on his scoot he can help u out he has helped me out of some jams, he really knows these scoots good!

thanks to all! I think I have figured out the air pressure I want to use Allyoop and several others have suggested to run 10-15% less then the max rating so 10% less then 36 was 32.4 which the manual suggested and 15% less is 30.6psi I ran 30psi in her and felt better going around curves then 32psi did so even though the front tire has a max rating of 36psi too if I go by the plate where its telling me max 32 front and 36 rear I get 28.8psi-27.2psi and I have been running it at 28psi and its wore fine. It most of been running 34psi in rear that wore center down fast. Hope it will last this riding season then get them replaced this fall with some nicer brand named tires! So for now going to run 28psi front and 30psi rear! Thanks for everyones help!

In my opinion I would replace the tire. Motorcycle superstore sells them for less then $30.00. When they get worn down they seam to have blow outs easier. That's no fun at speed! yeah I know its cheap just trying to figure out why it wore so fast with less then 3,000miles and less then a year old? Was I running to high of pressure that it wore down the middle? the sides still have some of the tits on it and front is brand new looking still! My 150cc has 8,000miles and its tires still look brand new and there the Chinese Cheng Sen tires just like my 250cc? If it was the front wore I would just replace it and not worry much but changing the back is alot harder to do then just a straight axle looks like the exhaust, brake, and whole CVT have to come off!

just seems like it shouldnt be worn that fast its less then a year old! I bought brand new memorial day last summer. The odometer reads 2,800 not sure if thats 2 thousand and 800 miles or KM, but everyone I have talked to has said it shouldnt have worn that soon. I have only done two oil changes besides the break in period 300mile change, so 3,000miles all im going to get out of that tire? My 150 had originals on it with 7,800 miles and my front one still looks fine like brand new still!

thanks allyoop! I was thinking of trying 30psi in front then move the rear up to 34psi to keep the 4pounds difference from the front to back. Im not good with math but 10% of 36 is 3.6 so I would want 33.6psi so 34psi should be ok? And did u think the tire looked pretty worn thinking the roads I ride on could wear it down since there all mainly back roads instead of paved they are just (trying to think of what they call it) where they lay out some tar then spread stone over top then brush the loose gravel to the side of road not very smooth!

???I am confused my manual is for a Fashion Sport but I have the Jonway YY250T-2 or known as Roketa Bali 250. In the manual it states 28psi in the front and 32psi in the rear, so thats what I have been riding them at so far have about 2800k on them, not sure if my odometer reads in km or miles but its at 2800. But my buddy pointed out my rear tire was looking bald, so I researched some more and found out I have the 120/70/12 front and 120/90/10 rear. Not the 110/90/12 and 110/90/10 it states for both tires in the manual. I dont think I have the correct manual? Then I read on the V.I.N Badge it says the correct size tires and says 32psi front 36psi rear, but both the front and the rear tire has a 36psi cold max psi rating, there the stock Cheng Shin tires. My dad said if thats what the scoot says go by it instead of manual, but was worried about putting the max psi in the rear. The front tire still looks good running it at 30psi but the back well heres some pics see what u guys think any advice will be greatly appreciated as I would like to prolong the life of the tire as long as possible. Thanks Bob Back Tire V.I.N states 32psi front 36psi rear but 36psi is max psi rating

My CVT gasket is rubber also. I put a few dabs of silicon around the edge of the gasket to hold it in place during removal and installation of the cover. Shouldn't have to ever replace this gasket as it's pretty durable. Another reason to keep the rubber gasket on would be to help reduce noise since the rubber seal helps isolate the large CVT cover from the vibrations of the engine. did the exact same thing used a little gasket maker sealant on about six spots to help hold the rubber gasket on makes it easier for removal and installation too!

I can hear mine good at 55mph if I have my visor open which I usually do since my windshield blocks everything since im so short! lol but with visor closed cant really hear it good but still can. its good in town or cruising slow. I have been thinking of a mod to do, in the first place on my scoot the speakers are angled to ur feet. If I cup my hand around the speaker it directs the sound upwards where I can here it better thinking of making a black plastic mould to work same way and glue it on? also maybe run another speaker like a 5 and 1/4 in my trunk and cut a hole out of the lid to mount it with the wire ran up through a little hole in the bottom of trunk to give sound coming from behind me too?

That describes my experience almost exactly. I get some occasional squeak when the brake is not applied. It's not just at low speed though and when it's going on it's very annoying. yes it is!! LOL
