Thanks Racer for the info. My high/low switch on the left handel bar will not work for the high beam so when I do connect the lights (and they work) I am hopeing that I can use the passing switch for the high beam and if not then hopeing the low beam will be enough.Looks like I have a lot of..hope..in this project. Stay tuned for the..rest of the story..

Well I started this H4 HID headlight job last Oct. and here it is the middle of Apr. The reason is I know zip about elec. stuff. I have printed 21 copies of replys on HID subjects from this web site and have learned(at 87 years old didn't think I could)a lot and here is where I am. Took off all the plastic..there's a month gone...changed all small lights to LED...rewired front drive and turn lights and they all work..yaaaa! Took out old headlight bulbs and put in new H4 bi-exon. Mounted harness controller and 2 ballests...ran new wire back to battery(had to splice wire to get back there)and am ready to hook up new harness to original wiring. Have not tried new headlights yet 'cause I am a little scared to do it but....I will.

2008 Roketa M54 257cc Cypress. H4 bi-xenon headlights and LED lights in all the rest. I wired the two small running lights together and connected them to one of the oem outlets. The wiring for the turn signals I left alone. The H4 headlight units just slip right in to the original scoket. I ran the wire for the low beam through a switch so when I turn on the key to start...the HID lights do not turn on. The running lights go on and I drive with just them on. At dusk I turn on my low beam switch and it works great. If I want the high beam H4 lights I use the passing high beam switch on the left handelbar. Lots of light just on the lo beams. Less amps are used with this setup then with the stock bulbs.

OK..One last question on this hid light thing and then it will either work or I haul the whole scoot to the dump. There are 35w ballest and 55w ballasts. Will my 12v dc battery system handel 55w? Yes or No and I am out of here.

That produce is listed as 35w. I was under the impression that with my 2008 Roketa 54B 257cc I can handel 55w. Am I wrong here?

Well it's me again. I think I have this thing figured out. The harness and ballasts are OK but the h13 bi-xenon bulbs I ordered are wrong soooo I need(I think) to order h4 bi-xenon bulbs to fit the ballasts that I now have. I sure wish someone would vaify that before I spend any more money. This is what I have now. Zenex Slim HID Conversion Kit H13 (9008) 6000K Hi/Lo Deal Xenon (Diamond White) BTW....does the (9008) mean that the harness is for the H13 bulb? If so...then I will have to orde a whole new kit...ouch.

I'm dead...e-mailed my request to Amazon re: exchange and they sent it on to the people I bought it from. They send me an e-mail saying the time had ran out for exchange so I am just going to reorder the whole thing again from Amazon and do it right(I hope)this time. Live and learn. As the old saying says, "We grow too soon old and too late smart" but I am only 88 years old. I still have a ways to go yet.

I knew it..I knew it. I really messed this light change up. Took 3 days to put the bulbs in 'cause I ordered the wrong type but got them in. Then I saw that the wiring coming from the ballast to the lights don't match 'cause I ordered the wrong bulb. I would like to leave the bulbs (H13) in and exchange the harness and ballasts to fit the H13 bulbs. I got this from Amazon for $79.99 and I am going to see if they will do an exchange for me. If not...I will have to start all over again, AGGGGG!

It's me again. The high/low beam rocker button on left handel bar light switch does not work. I found a picture of the one I will need to order and it shows a white plug at the end of the long black cord with wires in it. I cannot find that white plug anywhere in the front of my Roketa 250 MC54B. Before I order a new switch can some one tell me where that white plug is located on my scoot now? I sure would like to get my new HID headlights installed. Thanks to who ever.

Well I know I am in a rut with this but I have it all but together But where in the world do I hook the thing up? Does it hook up to the left handelbar light switch or to one of the original connections of the lights I removed? As of now I am dead in the water and my scoot is neck-ed.
