Upjetting the carb is done with free flow filters. If you add more air you need more gas to mix with it. If your scoot is running fine you may not have to. Check your plug for color, you may be running lean. When I first put an unifilter on my scoot would bogg down really bad so I had to upjet. Giving it more gas to match the high air flow solved the problem. If your scoot runs fine and is not lean well, no worries

I know K&N is for paper not foam filters but, I have been told it works just the same even if I have to clean and oil more frequently. It has to be better than none at all

Thanks for the replies guys!!! So I need filter oil . OK what about K&N filter oil? Good/Bad, Ok to use on a foam? Should I just order some UNI spray online or can I buy some at an autoparts store? Update--- Made a trip to Auto zone and picked up a K&N kit (Oil and cleaner) and, A Schumacher battery charger for 27 $ Seemed like a good deal to me ;D Thanks again for the tips. If I went ahead and used what I had around the house I would not have got a deal on the charger

I Just got my new UNI and was wondering if WD40 is good enough to use as a foam air filter oil? My last filter was the cheapo Scrappydog pod filter and fell apart on me and never oiled. (The foam separated from the rubber mount) I know the oil is used to filter out the dust and I live in a desert. So will any type of oil do the trick? Motor oil, WD40, Silicone spray? I just don't wanna fork over another 10$ for filter oil if I can use something around the house. Thanks for any thoughts or tips!!!! BTW, Is it better to oil the foam or the prefilter? Or Both?

Have you adjusted the valves? Always the first thing to do with a hard start. It sounds just like my QMB hard starts. If your sure the battery is fully charged then try adjusting the valves. If that does not work then look at the bendix or bushings. Do the easy stuff first before throwing parts at a problem IMHO. Has the scoot sat for a long period of time? Kill swich on? Sounds silly but the best of us forget sometimes

The base model GTL could buy around 30 50cc Chinese scoots with enough change for a windshield and top box for each . Or you could get a couple new Hyundai's I love the comments about how much cheaper the MSRP is from the pre release speculation. BMW-Bring More Wallet LOL!! Nice lookin bike though it should come with an IPOD not just the dock.

Some of the mods the Japanese do with these scoot are phenomenal. Air bags , lights, paintwork. The customizations can cost twice what the scoot is worth. I hope someday the U.S. will catch up with the cool things happening in Japan and Puerto Rico. That Morph is beautiful man!! love it ride it and above all have fun ;D

Thank you for all the help guys!!!!!! Alley- I have a Keihin style CVK carb. I Have a Vacuum line from the manifold to the petcock, and another vacuum line from the manifold to the carb. Again, Thank you!!!! The pics helped allot Bashan. You Rock ;D So, I can just pull the petcock, replace with the shut off valve and plug the vacuum at the manifold, be a happy camper and learn something new. If I shut off the gas about 30seconds befor turing off the engine, A would be thief may never get it to start. He He ;D I just need to remember to turn it back on

My tank is located at the rear above the carb. I would like to run a line from tank to filter, Filter to Shut off valve to carb. There is a vacuum line on the petcock though I don't know what to do with. Can I just plug it at the manifold and be ok or will this cause a problem?

My little 50cc QMB has had some problems. I have ended up replacing the Petcock 2x now. I got a Briggs and Stratton manual fuel valve as a gag gift for Christmas. The funny part is now I want to use it. Can I just pull the vacuum petcock and replace it with the shut off valve? What about the vacuum line? Has anyone done this? and what to do about the vacuum line? Pics always help if this can be done. Anyone else run petcockless?

I know A zip tie and screen will work but, it looks like, Well, A zip tie and screen. Where can someone get a replacement CVT screen thingy? The CVT gasket itself does nothing except reduce vibration noise IMHO A bead of high heat silicone or gasket sealer works better.
