That is a Beautiful scoot!!!!!! Can I ask How you programed the Speedo for 10 inch wheels??? I have a Bell bicycle computer but, the manual only has setting for like 20in rims and above. I'm Not sure how to get an accurate reading for the smaller Tires. Also, can I ask what size jets your running??? I have a stock pilot (35) pilot and an 88 Main (I need a 90)

I don't think a new harness is required. Does the left blinker work if ya hit the start??? It maybe just a few crossed wires connected to the wrong switches. I don't see a reason to rewire the whole scoot ( A very big Job) If a simple rewiring of the switches will fix the problem.

I have been giving my soda/beer tops to a coworker for the last few years. (I recycle the cans for the cash anyway) I think he donates them to Ronald Mcdonald house or something like that. Could You really use em If I sent them your way instead PJ?? I got a couple of ziploc bags full right now. Since were at it, Save your soup can labels and box tops too. Not really related to PJ but, Schools can use them to get supplies for the students. I'm not sure how that works but I give mine to the neighbors and there kids can use them instead of going in the trash. Sorry for the Hijacking!!

shell gas

I have only used Shell for many years. My grandmother had arthritis so bad she could not squeeze the pump and I drove 10 miles to the nearest Shell Just to pump gas for her. I Never understood why the Shell Brand was so important to her but, I get it now. Plus my employer has a deal with shell and I can save Up to a Dollar per gallon. Yes, $1.00 per gallon Even if it's got Ethanol Shell is just a better gas all around IMO. Chevron is decent too but, the summer formula makes my cage knock real bad.

I totally agree!!!! Always test a battery under load. I have told people not to trust a multimeter or the green light on a charger. Only to find out it was the battery after other trouble shooting. I learned the hard way. My Cougar didn't start so I tested the battery. Thought it was fine. Now after towing fees, Diagnostics and labor I have a $385.00 battery in my cage. Autozone tested it but not under load. Always test a battery under load 50 bucks is better than 400 to find out whats wrong ;D I didn't think to jump it, Great tip!!!!!!!

Yeah what he said!!!!! If ya bottomed out on a bump you may have bent, shifted or otherwise have an exhaust leak. Make sure that if you do feel airflow it's not from the cooling shroud but the exhaust port. Slow down next time

Faster

I read somewhere that the timing on these scoots is Where the real secret is for speed. Aftermarket parts are very good if used to there full potential. Seems your on the right track. I would love to push my little 50cc to the limit reliably That is one BAD A$$ minibike!!!! Just watch your right leg I guess you've got more than 1 burn. I am VERY interested in what you come up with. Forget a 150, see what can be done with that 50cc. Just because you can. ;D I hope to see what ya come up with and please, take lots of pics so I can copy!!!!!

A 50cc should be going faster than 22mph. You may have another problem with that scoot if that is your top speed. JMHO It may be cheaper to get a BBK instead of replacing the engine. Does your scoot have a normal gy6 139qmb engine? If so, you can definitely go more than 22mph. We all love pics!!!!! AFAIK that 80cc should be a direct bolt on replacement. Just use the old parts that don't come with it. Carb, CDI, Airbox etc.... Just my 2 cents.
