Now I'm paying the price for not putting my tools away. While we find the tool I need to get to the fuel line, let me tell you just a little more. If I let her sit for awhile, then when I try to start her she almost starts-- but only on the first try. After that, she just can't even make the effort. The starter (if that is the right word) is working, but the engine doesn't "catch" again. I may be technically incorrect, but I think you know what I mean. That leads me to believe that it probably is a fuel issue. If the fuel were trickling in very slowly, this would be the logical result. My house mate has found the tool. I'm going to go out and try again.

I have a very strong suspicion. My neighbor gets annoyed whenever I (or any other female in his vicinity) gets any kind of transportation. That's one (but not the only) reason he just lost his wife and son.
Yes, I did check the kill switch! That happened to me the first day. I haven't forgotten in two days (although I'm sure I will again-- it's much too easy a mistake to make). It does try. It just doesn't succeed.

I had a great time all day yesterday, doing right turns, then left turns, then going and getting ice, then refusing to come in until it was getting really dark.
When I went to start my scooter today, the gas was gone. My house mate was sweet enough to go get gas for me and I gassed her up. She won't start. I pulled her over a large piece of cardboard to check for leaks. I waited 15 minutes. No leaks. Still won't start.
I have a feeling that I shouldn't have left her outside last night.
Any advice? I'm feeling very down at the moment. I want to go out!

Hmmmm beer keg, fittings? Can you say DOT regulations? How bout what if I hit something, somebody and it go boom?! Can you say insurance lialibility? Can you say modified non DOT tank = no insurance? Beer keg designed for beer, = Yum Yum hiccup hiccup! gasoline? Dr. JR excellent points, but putting a valid, legal gas tank inside of something larger might work...

Hi! Well, here it is-- the first time starting my scooter. I got my insurance, registration, and permit Thursday and I started it up and rode around the block twice! I know I can handle this scooter now, it's just a matter of getting used to it. In this first picture, the scooter has been started for the first time, and the gas tank is full: In the second picture, I was talking to my house mate, who had my camera. I haven't gone anywhere yet. Of course I look huge-- I always look huge! I even look huge in pictures when I'm skinny. Oh well, I'll live, I suppose. I then put on my safety gear and went around the block twice. I am very happy.

The topcase is the "trunk." My type snaps onto the base, but both me and my housemate (and neither of us are lightweights) put our full weight into it and it would not snap into place no matter what we did. I had assumed that it would have bolts from inside the case, but it does not.
I have removed the rear view mirrors and 6 screws. I suspect that mine is put together differently from yours. The plastic around the grips wouldn't have any effect on this particular setup. The pieces that surround the handlebars themselves are separate from the piece I'm trying to remove. I'll post some pics later.

I can't get it off, and the bottom section is free. The top is still attached at those two spots, and the only reason I can find is those two screws, or whatever they are. I have 6 removed right now, and it will not come off. I have tried everything. If you know what's holding it up, please tell me. Also, how did you get your topcase on? I can't get it to snap into place, like the directions tell me no matter what I do.

I'll go over it again, but I think I found them all. I'll keep going without this step for now.

By the way, so far so good! No problems detected, but I think that extreme scooters might have already done a PDI. I can't get some of those bolts out no matter what I do (I figure they already have loctite on them). If I can't get them out, even with decent leverage, then they're tight, right? No problem!

I just took some pictures. Here's the first: Here's the second one: As you can see, the screws aren't accessible from the outside, at least not that I can see. Thanks for any help you can give me. I'm not in a rush to get this done, but I don't want to just sit there and look at it, either!

I have got started on my PDI (finally)! I am stuck here: There are two screws that I can't get to at all. They come from inside the plastic, and I can't remove them. Any suggestions? Anyone done a PDI on a Roketa like mine?

It's together, but I'm not finished with the PDI. That's today's job. I had a funeral to go to yesterday, and homework to finish before that. I'll get pix up as soon as I can, if the kids will leave me alone long enough to actually accomplish anything!

Talk about tired! He even knew he got it wrong as soon as it was out of his mouth.

I do not understand parents who let their children ride motor vehicles. If it has more than a cheap electric motor that goes a few miles an hour, then it is absolutely not suitable for unsupervised children!
