Despite all the slam reviews of Scooterdepot online I found my purchase from beginning to the license plate Excellent. They sell and move thousands of units weekly. Seems the peep's who purchased and slam them did Not read half the content information that is provided ie how its shipped. PDI, Pre delivery inspection, a 2012 or pre model may have to clean the carb. Mine listed as a Best pick of 2012, saw peeps receiving 2011's, My MFG date was May 2013, no Carb cleaning. Fired right up. For the price I'm very happy with my purchase and having a ball with simple upgrades. These Scoots are too much fun for the $$$$. Good Day.

I have a love/hate for these type of mega stores. First they don't and cannot buy direct the products that they sell. The Evil Empire and WPS distributes to them. In some cases TR. Sometimes they don't even stock the product, it is dropped shipped from WPS or the Evil Empire. But they have large minimums to get the volume pricing and the salesman who has that account is eager to please, Again the consumer wins. Great for the consumer but It devalues a high end product to discount store pricing junk. Then the local dealer who supports the Sport has a tough time selling anything. I don't see these mega store's sponsoring or co sponsoring anything! The M/C industry is quickly going the way of the aftermarket auto industry. We used to have Mom and Pop Speed shop's, who raced and provided a wealth of information face to face. Now its Summit(Walmart) or Jegs. if the computer doesn't tell them what to do there clueless. Support your local dealer. Good Day!

Ya, I know I went off topic there. LOL Next to Motorsports Diving is my passion. Of topic once more. Sharks don't scare me as they have a predictable behavior. Dove with lots of Banded sea Crates in Fiji. more venomous than a King Cobra, but very docile as they could be easily handled. Not to mention the Deadly Textile Cone shell's, he stings you and you wont make it to the surface alive. But there were White tips, Bronze Whalers, Bulls no big deal they just swam away as you try to get up close and personal. Barracudas concern me, they are very curious, and a flash of Bling may make them strike, Moray's have terrible eye sight, but a keen sense of smell, keep fingers away. A most memorable moment in CZM was diving, North end for lunch we speared a 4 foot Nurse shark. that boy did a death roll like a Gator, Broke the spear gun in half and the spear as thick as Rebar bent it in half, took two of us two bring him up and he became lunch. Skin so tough I was unable holding him to the bottom to penetrate it. Went thru 2,800 psi at 60 feet in 10 minutes.

Nitrogen is Inert Diatomic gas. seems the only use in Gasoline is to reduce emission's. As a Diver next to Cruise ship Divers Nitrogen is my Enemy. The Air we breath is mostly 79% Nitrogen, 20 % Oxygen an around 1% trace gases ( Argon,Helium etc.). Depending on my depth (every 33 feet is one more atmosphere of pressure in sea water) I generally use Nitrox with a 36% mix. approaching 80-90 feet in depth breathing air, Nitrogen Narcosis starts to set in. Many factors determine how one is effected. and in the reverse on Nitrox there is a max depth depending on mix as Oxygen becomes Toxic, Mix gas divers use allot of Helium, then switch up as the ascend, very technical. Nobody can hear you Scream at 200 feet!! Good Day

What happens if you install a dished piston. Flat top or a domed piston. If you take 350 CI engine and bore it .030 you end up with a 355 CI engine. CI and CC is just one part of building HP. You need to add other parts to achieve horsepower and horse power is what your looking for. Forget CC size and add components that build HP. If you build it right you could add a little nitro to bump up the HP a lot. No replacement for Displacement! This going way off topic for the guy just wanting to know how big a stroke he can stuff in his Fiddy. Piston volume in terms of cc's either + or - only is effecting compression ratio, not bore size and swept volume (stroke). Same with combustion chamber volume,Head gasket thickness. With the Plethora of aftermarket heads on the market you can pick and choose a combination for you specific application. This generally will be dictated by the cam shaft your going to run as it has comp.ratio and rpm range it will work in. Flat top piston=best flame travel, Mini dome(+.110 Brodix NASCAR) yields the best flow. Give and take. For a national event in my KT100 on Methanol I obtained from Funny car driver Mark Oswald, a gallon of the Nitromethane (the POP) in this application was a very high rpm motor but low 9:0-1 comp. ratio. 1989 was $70. per gallon. Holly Schmolly was it the POP! Very weather Sensitive ran it in a morning heat race and had to turn the main out during (Walbro) the race to keep the engine cool, skipped it in afternoon heat race, Put it back for the final and spanked e'm Cost a ring as the heat made it lose its temper by the end of the race. But for a National win was worth it. Good day.

Same here, I buy shell 89 and haven't ever had to clean out my carb in over 4 1/2 years. I do add 1 oz of seafoam per gallon and I when not riding winter, I start the motor once a week and let it warm up. Never even take the battery out the 1 start per week brings up the charge. On my Trike it is charging 14.5 even at idle, anytime 365 days out of the year you just turn the key on hit the start button and it starts right up. Alleyoop Wonder if its the "Nitrogen Enriched" Shell provides? or is that just marketing bs? I like Shell fuel when in a part of the country were it's readily available.

All I wanted to know is if I could put a 100 cc or larger crank in my 49 cc gy6 scooter I don't care if you know how to do math or not just let me know if the crank will fit thank you.. With such a long stroke to obtain the desired CC's beware of the Harsh rod angle of the stock length connecting rod. Crank Works can prolly make any stroke you want. I left out with such a long stroke to obtain desired cc's, being a noob I have not had the pleasure of measuring the piston for wristpin offset. A straight up pin would be a real bad buzz with a stock rod and long stroke. should require 1mm pin offset. research Rod to Stroke ratio's. Good Day!

guys let's take a 350 Chevy.... 4 inch bore... 3.48 inch stroke... 4×3.14× 3.48×8=349.6704.... 350 chevy.... that's how you calculate volume LOL! another Issing match! yup as I Provided .7854XBoreXBoreXStrokeX# of cylinders. My SBC is 4.040 Bore with a 3.750 stroke= 385ci. 6. inch rods but that has no factor in Displacement. Good Day! I used to love back in the day a kid with a 80cc bored to +.020 called it a 100cc. Hey 80+20 = 100 right. LMAO!!

Very well stated Bashan. My first experience with Ethanol was back around 89 or 90 my first Summer in Texas. It was either a Texaco or Marathon station across the street that I found my first gas with ea10. I had brought down a Yam.XT350 for some off road riding, got so hot in the Summer (102-104) outside and in my warehouse was 4-7 degrees hotter. No need to say at the end of the day I was not hopping on the XT for a ride. It sat for two months, when I went to start it did the classic only ran on choke. I yanked off the carb to find the brass alloy main jet had this huge green Christmas tree of corrosion hanging out of it. never seen anything like it to that date. You are correct, best policy is to keep them running and or drain the fuel bowl. Good Day!

Found My 150 to have .001 valve clearance out of the box. These are small valve springs with very little seat pressure, so have a light feel on that feeler gauge when adjusting. good gauge to go by is if you have micrometers stick the feeler gauge into the Mic's and zero in on the specific size. then drag the feeler gauge through to get the correct feel.

The headlight is really the only piece of running gear that I should upgrade on my scooter. It's alright on streets with some streetlights, but just hasn't the power to light up the road on low beam. Just acceptable on high. But the tail light system is absolutely great, a bank of 21 leds. Agreed on the Headlights. In Fort Worth not a issue as under street lights most of the time, But in NC and Ohio even at 55mph I keep seeing a mirage of a Black Angus cow or a Deer. Working in the 80's with some Thompson Ohio EMT's hitting either one at 55 is a real bad buzz. I upgrade all my Street rides to (excuse me) Illegal wattage PIA's. at speed on a Sport ride doing the legal limit I find I can see down the open road so much further. Than if ya wanna talk at 150-170+ mph its a Necessity to feel comfortable. 1st gear on My CBR is 82mph. Good Day!

I see Yamaha dropped la Bomba on the Brazilian market today with it's announcement of the 2013 YS150 Fazer Blue Flex. Built to run on Gas or Ethanol or a mix, Air cooled Fuel injected. 150cc is the most popular Brazilian class sold there. in 2012 1.65 Million units sold. Yamaha expects to sell 190,000 units by year end. Great move by Yam to bring out a Gas/Ethanol 150cc. I'm sure it cost much more than my Sunny 150-A, But it can handle the Dreaded Ethanol woes. Good Day!

The best way to stay safe is to ride as though you were invisible. And that don't work when some one or some thing chases you down! Owning and riding for 40+ years, I have become a very defensive rider, Carrying this over to cars has kept me out of countless incidents. I look into a car drivers eyes, as his eyes dictate what he is going to do. I left out one personal experience with loud pipes. In my third world Dive travel I have rented countless Honda Elite 80's and 50's. A common problem with them is the head pipe break's at the weld going into the can/muffler. Had one break and had to use it the remainder of my stay was hurtful to me and my passengers ears. I need to dig up a pic of me and my Dad on a Elite 80 with two Bags of complete dive gear. we had that puppy loaded down. Also common to ride four or five on a 80. Did four up with my Mayan Bro. in CZM as he knew I could ride and trusted me with his kids in between my Wife and I. prolly stupid.
