Why should I grow up? To be a kid at my age is a dream come true.

Why are you balancing with weights? I thought most bikes were dynamically balanced with beads these days.

Something else,...
When I was putting the carb back on, I slipped and came down a bit hard on the plug wire. I did not feel it pop or separate at all, but I can't meter it since it's built in to the coil. Could be I damaged something. I took it apart to put the new plug in and it was a major PITA to get it back together. Is there a small metal cylinder inside there along with the spring? I found one after and I have no idea where it came from.
And NO, I'm not normally this careless when I work on something. But I've never seen a plug wire where you have to take off the screw top either, and then adding a spring on top of that? Totally weird.

I really hope it's something simple, like I need a new coil wire or something. I'm getting tired of ordering parts.
I went to the air kit your saw from the stock air box and I have a straight pipe no muffler so it's breathing quite well.

Have pix of the entire bike? I'm not sure, but I'd bet it's a scooter. Seriously, we really do need more info and better pix.

Did you clamp the whole thing together while re-installing it? If you don't, stuff flys apart inside and you have to take it apart and do it again. Silly springs you know...

Just finished putting my bike back together after redoing the air system, re-jetting the carb (from 110 to 125), fixing a few odds and ends, changing the rest of my bulbs out for LED's... Roketa 250. (244cc)
Connected the battery and it cranks. It refuses to start. It's getting gas, I can smell it. No, I did not check for spark because I was by myself and it's kind of difficult to reach over the bike and still be low down enough so I can see if it has spark. I'm going to call a friend of mine to come over and help me out. Just replaced the battery in my meter also. Brand new spark plug and charging diode.
So bad wire? Or coil? Or CDI? Anything else?

Short in the wiring? Bad CDI? I would;
1. Adjust the valves. 2. Replace the plug. 3. Adjust the carb. 4. Check the airflow. Make sure it's not blocked or something. 5. Check the plug wire and coil. 6. Oil change in both engine and gearbox.
Those seem to be the most common fixes for this kind of problem, and even if it's not one of these, it never hurts to do the maintenance. (Not all of these will cause that but they are all common issues with these bikes and should be looked at anyway.)

Is the crankcase venting properly? Is there too much oil in the engine? What weight oil are you using? What size engine?

I had one split right up the mold line. I was crusing right along and I heard a gunshot. I knew something was up so I pulled over and the valve was split right in two. I happened to be next to the Honda dealer, so I walked it over to them and it cost me $60 to have it replaced. Do it yourself now and save later!
