Just had this one pop up on one of my pages. Nice, and the price is right. Matches my safety vest I have to wear also.

Never did Dr. I know how it can be. Sometimes you just need to let off some steam or its going to explode in the wrong direction. No harm done. Like I said above, just the guys letting off a bit of steam and getting some encouragement at the same time.

Yep, Hate that mirror. I had one. Two actually. I got rid of them and replaced them with a different type. Why? Because the design of them SUX major dog meat. You basically have to replace that section on the bars. Is it the brake mount one? Use an easy out and replace the whole mirror with a plain old style mirror.
My wife is sitting here and she got after me for watching filthy videos because of the language. LOL

You can also just get a new carb off ebay that has everything already and not worry about drilling or other stuff.

For $1,500, I'd go for it. Especially if he has all his maint records.

It's usually the wheel bearings and the variator/clutch combo that go bad around 40k. On a small scooter, not a big deal, On a Burgy?... I've never worked on one so I don't know, but I was told by a guy who owns 3 of them that it's a major repair. But then maybe he paid Zook to do it and we know the Dealer is always more expensive.

AC has Phase (back and forth) and Neutral (not moving). DC has Positive (Flowing this way) and Negative (flowing that way). Nether of these has a GROUND component. AC has 3 wires. 2 of them are active. DC has 2 wires both active. But neither one has GROUND. GROUND is for safety purposes. Circuits do not need a ground to work, they just need to connect back to themselves thru the load. Ground is to make the circuit safe to handle for mere mortals. So you can ground them both together because NEITHER one has a ground as PART of it or it's natural circuit. I'm going to take Bash and put him on this PC board. His job is to run back and forth pushing a button on each side. (Yellow man) I'm going to put Alley on the other side and his job is to run around the circle and spin the star at every lap. (Blue man) They are both on the same PC board but they are both separate. If I happen to touch either one then I am adding myself into the circuit and the juice will flow into me, ESPECIALLY if I am GROUNDED. So, I am going to add a line to each one that makes the whole thing safer for me to touch. I am going to ground each one to the dark reddish brown box (representing the Earth) Now, they are grounded so if I happen to touch them the juice will not flow directly into and thru me. It now flows into the GROUND where it is harmlessly dispersed. The GROUND is the trash can of the circuit not a vital component. Understand?

It looks like the old style Aircraft Radial Engines with Counter Balancers installed. These things lifted massive planes off the tarmac, it's going to send that bike like it was strapped to a Saturn V.
I'm trying to imagine the transmission on that thing... It's going to be made of tungsten and titanium or its going to be in little pieces all over the road.

Sounds good, but at about 40k, the Burgman requires a bit of major maintenance. Ask if the engine or Trans has been overhauled lately. If yes, then go for it.

The answer is:
AC has 2 components: Phase and Neutral. DC has 2 components: Positive and Negative. There is a fifth component that is common to both: Ground.
I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

What 'governor thingie' are you talking about? Do you mean the idle screw? How did you adjust the air/fuel mix? The 'brown juice' is used oil and gas overflow. Dump it in the correct place.
Give us picture please.

I think I'll stick with my regular helmet as well. At least until there is some good data behind these air bag thingies.

I'll let you know in a few days. I'm waiting on some parts right now and when I get them in, I'll be checking the CDI.
