I definitely see a TMAX in my future... I just hope it isn't a distant future. Though, it'll be as an additional scooter, since I'll never give up the Matrix... too much invested in it, both financially and emotionally. but joshua has a good point,.. bmw is a fantasy--Tmax is the reality. Luke, I'll say it again... there are only two people that I allow to call me Joshua. My mom... and my wife. ;D

I actually like the looks of that thing.... but the price... that'll hurt. I think I'll stick to my more realistic dream scoot: the T-MAX.

joshua, nah that's just part of the joke package...it's not serious. Good to know! But I've got to warn you... there are only two people on this planet that I allow to call me Joshua... My mom and my wife... and it usually means I'm in trouble.

but is that site owned solely by one person?..he must be crazy, he copied pictures of scooters, faces, horses, birds, babies etc. ..i've had pictures of my morph all over the web but ,it wasn't copied. ..he must have a bad taste in scooter..LOL Luke, I can't tell if you're being serious or not... You posted a link to a Google Image Search... so, of course not one person has all of those images. If you look at the individual links to all those images, they're mostly to sites like ImageShack, Photobucket and I saw plenty that linked to ScootDawg. So, since most images on those sites are publicly visible and searchable by Google, they're going to appear in a search for "air scooter avatar".

Just a funny note to add to the soap opera: I've figured out one potential problem to putting the kill switch in close proximity to the turn signal switch. Can you guess what it is? (FYI. Take a look at the picture above of my new control switch, the turn signal is obvious and the kill switch is the big red button.) I've ridden for two days now with this setup and I like it. I posted a pic of the bike from this morning over in scooter tag, but you can't see it very well. I'll eventually take some nice pics of naked bars. I still don't have a speedometer, though...

Oh! I definitely have to add Star Trek to my list. Except I wasn't watching the original as a kid.... I was watching TNG as a kid.

The wife and I just recently got cable back after a good 2 year hiatus. Since we live in the greater Orlando area, we were able to get pretty good broadcast reception and money was tight. There were only 2 or 3 cable channels we really missed. I also have a HTPC (home theater PC) hooked up to my TV that I built, so I still had DVR functionality for our broadcast TV. (Did I mention I was a geek?) That HTPC also serves as our BluRay and DVD player, not to mention its great for streaming services like Hulu and Netflix (even if I haven't tried Netflix)
Anyway, my current must watch shows are: 1) Chuck 2) The Big Bang Theory 3) Bones 4) Mythbusters 5) Dirty Jobs 6) The Daily Show (I usually fall asleep before Colbert)
(We really missed Discovery Channel when we didn't have cable.)
Shows that I want to watch: 1) Fringe 2) Supernatural 3) Castle
I was a huge fan of Lost, even if the finale confused the hell out of me. Also, despite the fact that most of it aired before I was born, I LOVE catching reruns of M*A*S*H.
Shows I would be watching had they not been cancelled before their time: 1) Firefly 2) Dead Like Me
What nausiates me? 24 hour cable news channels and 95% of the rest of the drivel that passes for entertainment. We really need to have à la carte cable options. I get like 200+ channels on my basic HD cable package. I want about.... 5, plus the networks.

I'd ride one, but I like the styling. I've been eyeing a Ninja 250R for a little while now, but I don't think the wife would go for it. You're not getting a crotch rocket! Who cares if its only a 250.

It definitely has been a soap opera. I'd like to think that the show has been cancelled and you (I) can be returned to regularlly scheduled programming... LOL Has the show jumped the shark, yet? Maybe I'll start a new thread over there to cover my up and coming mods.

I've been meaning to ask this for a little while now... should this thread be moved out of the "Clinic" and into "Customs"?
Progress report: still no speedo, but my new handlebar control arrived last night. Its much sturdier feeling that I expected. I'll definitely have to get that mounted this weekend.

That's the same scoot that Larry has, only with the Hyosung badging. Should tell ya something there. I sat on the UM version (Xpeed 250i) once, but was cramped. That's all I know first hand. I understand that they're a quality scoot, but I'd just need a custom seat. When I was buying my Matrix II, my UM dealer tried to upsell me on the Xpeed, since he didn't have any Matrix II's in stock at the time. EDIT. Note, I'm 6'-2". Hence the legroom issues.

>>FYI. The bleached plastic is in fact ABS. I found the marks on the inside when I pulled it off. Then it is paintable with Krylon. However the Chinese ABS is not like the American ABS. Chinese ABS is often some recycled composite with 10% virgin ABS material..., AKA Crap... Definitely crap That piece is so badly damaged now... paint wouldn't make it right.... still too many pieces missing. Didn't get around to installing the speedo last night (I worked really late), but if all goes according to plan I'll be able to do it tonight.

Well, the bars are naked. Definitely a work in progress. I had to put in some overtime on Saturday and I ran out of time yesterday, so I wasn't able to get the speedo installed. So, at the moment I have *ZERO* gauges and a bunch of wires zip tied up to the bars and a few dangling. I have the turn signal switch zip tied to the top of my old mirror mount, so its still usable and in reach.... Its a sight to see. The bike speedo is on the agenda to install for this evening and I just ordered a 5 function control swtich, to replace all the handlebar controls. It even has a built in manual choke lever. FYI. The bleached plastic is in fact ABS. I found the marks on the inside when I pulled it off.

I would say its not normal for a scoot that new, but...
Mine that is just hitting two years old and about 9000 miles has alot of cracked plastic, mostly just at tabs, but I have seen at least one major crack in a panel. It has been dropped a few times and I'm sure that has contributed, but I have found the ABS to get brittle with time. As I'm rebuilding my scoot, I'm trying to repair them.

You can't paint polyethylene without a corona discharge treatment first. The paint will not stick... However, I think that part may actually be a blend and have ABS in it. I recommend trying Krylon 'Fusion' black paint. They have a formula that will out perform everyone else. Use 3 light coats and let it dry 1 hour in between coats...then 24 hours after the last coat. Between the cracks, broken tabs, some missing plastic, mostly around screw locations, and now of course the white streaks, I've given up on that piece of plastic... I'm either going to replace it or go naked. However, since there is now a crack in the clear plastic over my gauges, I'm not set in the idea of keeping my gauge cluster anymore. Sooooo..... I'm looking at handlebar options, but I'm having trouble finding handlebar adapters easily available in the US. I've had no trouble finding the NCY ones that enviromoto and monstergy6 sell, but that's not what I want. I'm looking for something like this: www.sip-scootershop.com/Products/AC303315/Adaptor+for+handle+bar+Street.aspxI may just strip the handlebars this weekend, use my bars as they are for now and install the bike speedo, which has been on my project list for a few weeks now. I'll just have to figure something out for the indicators. A Trail Tech computer may be on my Christmas list.
