If you ever have a throttle stick you would sure wish you had a kill switch. With a cable operated throttle it can very easily happen. I had a 427 Nova and the throttle stuck wide open in first gear I didn't know whether to chit or go blind.

Did the light cover the footprint of the old light? I have an older Stella and have been contemplating this light swap for a while but had a concern of it covering the old footprint. I did get rid rid of the ugly rubber back bumper but really need to dump the tail light.

Mercarto does have some great prices especially on tire, wheel packages, but is usually out of stock on the cool stuff. I did get a screaming deal from him on cowl and front mud guard protectors, like $75 for both of them.

They have a reputation of questionable quality.you may wanna check out SIP scooter shop alot of hard to find pieces. Hodge speed orders from them once a week and saves you all the import customs hassles.

Cost should not be an issue. If they manufacture a vehicle to operate on the streets with other vehicles they should be held to the same standards, purchase price should not be of any issue. What is the starting price of when safety is of concern? They dump that cheap crap on our shores and the liability ends at the dock.

I wonder why with all the different issues on the E bay Chinese scoots they are not held to same standards as other manufactures? I have owned several and three of them would flash the headlight and tail light in harmony with the turn signals not to mention the other common to Chinese scoot problems. As far as the mirrors the handle bars they truthfully work pretty well when you put a windshield on it and I have noticed some have actually put longer mirrors on them.

Bashan you are correct Locomotives are two stroke but they do have exhaust valves. They get air into engine from athe air boxes on the side.

My two stroke Stella will get 110mpg around town but if you take it out and run 50~55 it goes down quite a bit.

i would love to pick one of those up,,,missed a P series vespa for $300 on CL a little while back,,,don't think is was a runner but complete and not all bent up,,,it was a good base for a resto but i missed it,,,i hate it when that happens,,, I would be on suicide watch if I had missed that one.I went to a garage sale and the lady had a Honda Aero 50 that she said was sold. I walked up to the guy and asked him if he wanted to double his money. He jumped at it so for $100 and a little tinkering and tweaking I had a very nice Aero 50

With the looong cold winter we had here in Ohio the market is plump with a few good deals. I will buy them now get them sorted out for when{if} summer gets here. I bought s Rakatak the owner said it needed an engine{no Compression| had it a lawnmower shop try to repair it. Long story short change the fluids and adjusted the valves, purrring.

I don't know where everybody else has been but for the five plus years I have been sucking these deals up. My wifes logic on this matter is " This doesnt seem right you buy these scotters for very little money. Have fun fixing them up and riding them and sell them for more than you paid for them" I guess this is the female gender logic. Tonites project is a TMZ? 150 with less than 100 miles.
