Folks buy these scoots and think I will save enough on gas to pay for it,or wifey thinks there cute, etc. and when they buy them they find out that scoots are not there cup of tea,put them in garage trip over them and have a fire sale.My next scoot is in somebody's garage right now waiting for me. Too many nice used scoots avalable to justify buying new a one. I bought a used Velocity 150 a year or so ago with less than 10 miles, how stupid is that buy a scoot drive it down the driveway, trip over it a few times and sell it for pennies on the dollar.

Thanks for the knowledge that's a great scooter and really like the looks of them. 6500 miles on a two stroke that is impressive. No problem. I really didn't think 6500 miles was that many , actually I just looked and it has a little over 6200. Out of all the scoots I have bought and sold the Stella has been the keeper. I love the manual 4 speed, and the two stroke with the Sito Plus exhaust,it pops like a scoot should. I like it when the Harley bikes rev me at a red light,I rev them back and tell them "Harley has been trying to copy that exhaust sound for 50 years and they aint even close" usually gets a smile and somtimes they take off like a as.... Harley rider. If it wasn't so diffcult to post pics. on here I would throw one up of my Stella, if your into retro I put alot effort into making mine look like an early 70's

The buy in is a bit steep but they do hold there value pretty good. I just bought a Lance Duke 250 cc with 43 chino miles on it that the previous owner claimed to have paid $25oo for. I gave him $300 for it. So it cost the original owner $2200 to ride 43 miles, toooo rich for me I will stick to my Vespas and Stellas.

The stellas are pretty rad I looked at them a little they also have a gear shifter for the gears without a clutch. They look like the old vespa. And very similar to the puma valentine. I bet that scoot has a lot of pickup from the get go huh. They are a 150 right? Have fun riding is the stella also oil injected or straight gas mixture. I haven't seen the clutchless ones, mine has a clutch 4 speed. They are veeeery similar to the Vespa PX 150. As a matter of fact they are built in a Ex Vespa factory in India and just about any part from a PX Vespa will work on the Stella and a alot of folks with old Vespas change up to the Stella engine and trans. It runs very well for a 150cc scoot I did do some minor tweaking, got rid of the catastrophic converter and rejetted the carb etc. When it gets time to freshen it up I will do a big bore kit and tweak some more grunt out of it,but as of now I only have about 6500 miles on it and it runs mint so I will wait awhile longer. And yes it is oil injected.

Didn't mind leaving the 8 inches of fresh behind in NE Ohio. The Smell of Premix in the Morning is giving me Chills. My 70's Snow Gear Still Smells of the Sweet klotz. And the Smell of Zoomie Alky oil from my kart days in the 80's. would taste it for a week. Still have a few Quarts of the Zoomie mix left to to use a Aftershave. You Have Now Entered the Mysterious World of Zoomie Motors Are Cookers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My two favorite smells are a tweaked two stroke, and a twin turbo on 116 octane. Truthfully I like the 116 a better.

Hey randy is that stella a 4t? No it is two stroke, nothing like the smell of two stroke first thing in the morning. I think they are ruining the Stella with the four stroke automatic.

If I remember correctly you were heat cycling the scoot by letting it idle up to temp. and shutting it off and repeated this several times. I would just change the oil and ride the bike and monitor the oil. If the level comes up you have a problem but all oil is going to have a crankcase smell to some degree. But the level should not increase.

I had the same problem of the kickstand being too long on a scoot I had. I cut about an inch or so off and welded a foot on on it and it was good to go.

It never did make any sense to me either. The oil you pour in cold from the can always seems thicker than the oil you drain from a warm engine. Alot of the manufactires are running closer clearances in their engines and want a lighter weight oil for start up. I think the reason behind motorcycles and the heavier weight is operating tempurtures and r.p.m.s

yup and ngk is the only one ive ever seen do it. it also tells you not to use them in aircraft. seriously it does. look next time you get a plug. this is on standard ngk boxes. i dont know about the iridium plugs n such I never noticed that diagram on the box before so I just checked and it is on the Iridium box also! I always put a little Never Seize on the threads also.
