Top speed

I don't understand why everyone gets such low speed on their 150's. My roketa mc-74 150 does 70 wot on flat ground, even in 20mph sustained winds. Since I live in Ohio where it is relatively flat, there are no high grades to test on. but on small hills, it still goes 70. This is according to the cheap speedometer, but it is also according to my expensive gps unit. Unless the mc-74 (which is cheap chinese) is better than all the 150's you all are talking about, I don't see why mine goes so much faster. It goes 70 when someone up to 160 lbs rides it. Don't know about heavier weights because no one heavier than 160 has ever ridden it.

You mean I can put regular 87 octane in my tank? My bike (54B) was manufactured (assembled) in the USA. and it has tags on it telling me to use 91 or greater octane. I don't have to?

First, the 54-B requires gas octane of 91 or greater. (obviously the gas isn't causing the problem, but you really should use 91 or 93 octane).
I don't think the RPM's have much to do with it because my rpm's are at 4,000 when I am traveling at speeds of 45 to 55. My tach reads about 2 for 20 miles, 3 for 30 miles, and 4 for 40 to 50 miles. It goes up from there. about 6 for 60 miles. I am a novice, but this makes sense for me.
I don't know much about mechanics, but I do know that JR is usually right on the money, so I would try his suggestion. (He's right about most stuff- the red being fastest being the exception. Any one with any smarts at all knows it is the blue that is the fastest) lol

What a great idea. Too bad there are only 7 of them. If somone was savy enough to start producing them, they might even surpass the motorcycle or scooter in popularity. And since they are so powerful (160 mph seems a bit excessive) one could probably even mount a side car to it.!!!!!

Well, I spoke to Josh at Superior power sports today by phone. I was able to get through right away. Was on hold for less than a minute (this is good!). The windshield is on back order which is why I have not gotten it. It is expected within the next 2 weeks, so that is good news. So, if I get the windshield sent to me, that will mean that SUPOWSPorts, has honored all of its commitments. After I get the windshield, I will say that it is the best place to get a cheap scooter. (As long as you don't mind picking up a wrench to do a little bit of maintanance.)

This is what I know about SuperiorPwoerSports. A year ago, they returned calls, gave good service, and did a proper PDI and delivery. Starting in 2011, they no longer return calls, You get put on hold for hours, they don't deliver as promised in the time they advertise, and their service is just plain poor. They have gone down really fast. OK, so they may be busy, but if they continue on the road they have chosen, they will not be busy much longer. Reputation is starting to fail.

That 250 is actually the roketa 250 54-B. They have given it a different name. Kind of skeptical of this one too.

I bought a cover for my bike and it was well worth the cost. It has hooks at the bottom that hook together to keep it from blowing off. It is easy to put on and remove. Unlike a tarp, which has to be anchored with bungees and can blow off. Scoot covers are much better than tarp. Get one

Ohio, same as rest. If bike is on road, must be registered, licensed, insured.

I would be frustrated also. And insanetexan, you don't have to be so sensitive. You have nothing to be sorry about. I hope it gets fixed for you soon

An Electric fuel pump sounds like a good idea. What problems does it solve? Would it help solve an idle adjustment for example. Is it computerized. Does it adjust fuel flow depending on what the bike and its components are doing? I would love to have information on this little item.
