When you pay $40K for your scooter that's the price you pay and YOU provide the server. But then if you have a trike you have ALL the chicks.

Pitting cable ties (electricians) against duct tape (HVAC techs) is probably not a good thing. I'm for the cable ties. I have concern about the location of the fuel line next to the radiator. It may cause vapor lock in the fuel line due to the heat. Insulation may be adequate but rerouting may be a better idea. As far as using BBs to balance your tires. DON'T DO IT!! The BBs will rust and clump together creating a disaster. Use the real thing. www.innovativebalancing.com/motorcycle.htm

What do you use for carb cleaner? My experience is that the aerosols will not get them as clean as the one you show and here we can't get the pint/quart cans with the parts basket included. Now it's the spray bombs or by the gallon and I don't want to store a gallon and have most of it go bad before the need arises. I do have a small ultra sonic cleaner for model railroading but it's too small for an entire carb.

A lot of people, from truck drivers to motorcycle speed nuts, us the beads with great success. And they are easy to reuse in another tire.

Genuine?

Again I find a need to ask the experts. My younger brother is also interested in getting a scooter and he asked if I knew about the Genuine scooter. It is sold at several local dealers so service and parts should be readily available. All I've been able to find on the internet is that it was started by a couple guys in Chicago that have a scooter parts business but nothing about where and who makes them. They do appear to be like most of the China clones but, they almost imply they're American made in Chicago. I would be interested in the Genuine Rough House 50 model as a starter where as he would like one of there bigger ones. He's had a 250cc Chinese V-twin motorcycle that resembles a Honda Rebel for 5 years so knows the quality that's available. But, how's the quality on these? They do have a two year warranty and the price isn't to far out there so the Rough House 50 is of interest for me. Please be honest. I can take it.

Wouldn't the trike also have an additional final drive ratio? The chain and sprockets to the rear axle.

Thanks for the video before I may have to get into such a thing but, if you don't mind a wee bit of criticism, you should be putting each group of screws and components in there own container to keep them organized for reassembly. That was something pounded into me way back when I started fixing things with Grandpa. About 55 years ago. "Pounded into me" maybe that's why viewing that made me skittish. I have plastic petri dishes with lids but an egg carton works great.

I say it's the ethanol. It destroys every thing it touches.

How are you connecting the pump electrically? I would think the most efficient would be to have it turn on when the oil reaches an operating temperature.

I'm watching this with much interest but you may keep the blue cheese. Colby or sharp Cheddar for me. I can see the use of a lot of street rodding components with this set-up but would hate to find out the cost.

I can buy the Lincoln welder of 'equal' capabilities at Mill's Fleet Farm or Tractor Supply for the same price and have a company and store that will stand behind it. Also the Lincoln is repairable, is the Chinese model? Most items at my local HF are higher priced than even Sears.
