Ah, 8 grams to heavy he is loosing to many rpms, his motor is not producing enough rpms now He is loosing almost 2000 rpms. Alleyoop YEP, put the 5g back in and much better. everything was in place. I was very carefull w/the grease. just a thin film and the wiped with a rag. I've worked on a lot of industrial veri drives but these scooters are a different critter. I'm old but still learning a few things. John at NYC scooter parts has been a big help

gy6 50cc mtr, gmw rx50 scooter. installed a koso performance variator with koso slider rollers today. lost a lot of top end and from the sound lower rpms. I installed slider rollers like dr pulley varator diagram shows. rollers are oriented with flat side w/logo up and other flat side toward center where crankshat goes. also took clutch apart , cleaned and lubed needle brg w/high temp grease. WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG!!!!

took variator apart, has 5g rollers. only has 200 miles after dealer install and already showing flat spots on rollers. going to upgrade variator with either hoca or dr pulley. is one considerably better than the other. open to suggestions. will also put on a better belt and keep the gates for a emergency spare

I think you guys fell right into LUKES trap. he thrives on conflict that is his only purpose in posting. I new a man the exact same way, he went to every fishing forum he could find and stirred up things untill he was banned. it was his source of entertainment. if everyone just ignored luke and didn't respond he would probably just fade away. now for the record I AM NOT SAYING CHINEESE IS BETTER OR WORSE THAN JAPANEESE! I'll just deal with what I have untill I get something else. that being said this has been kind of fun

gy6 50cc starting good, idle a little eratic but when you throttle it falls on it's face. started with the simple things. air and fuel filter good. has 1800 miles on it so checked valve adjustment and it was right on. so before I went any deeper decided to change the fuel. fresh fuel did the trick. thing is the old fuel was only 3 weeks old. guess I'll start using fuel stabilizer routinely. went to do some yard work and dang if I had the same problem with the weed eater. fuel just shouldn't go stale that quikly but if that is what it takes I'll just buy less at a time and use the stabilizer. seems like the quality of everything is in the toilet anymore
