Yup, it isn't the 257cc that they show on the website and it isn't the motor I wanted. Even if Superior Powersports does credit my account (which I doubt), I can not recommend this company to anyone. IMO this is not a small screw up but a very large one on their part. Well as they say...when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Is Superior Powersports just an online seller, sounds like they are so they never see any of the scoots they sell. They take your order and call whoever the distributor is and order one from them and I bet they get shipped straight from the distributor. Which makes Superior Powersports just an order taker. Thats why they told you thats what roketa sent, yea sent directly to you because if it was sent to them they would have known it was not what you ordered. Alleyoop

i'm not sure about that. Someone at Superior Powersports did change out the oil. What concerns me is that their own tech people don't know the difference between a CFMoto or a Linhai engine. I guess they saw the 250B sticker and assumed that's what it was. I think they are going to pass the blame to Roketa and not take any responsibility for the mistake. And now since my battery has been discharging almost daily, I'm beginning to wonder if they even charged the battery as they stated on their website. I emailed them regarding the drain in the battery and have not heard from them. It seems once they get your money they forget who you are.

I'm sorry for all the problems you have had. I sure would have called my credit card company and put in a dispute of the charges. They would have no recourse, but to ship you the right unit and have someone crate and return the wrong unit. They are a B&M business as they show their building, address, and hours they are open. If you already registered the scooter you might have problems.

Somebody I know visited their "B & M". This is how he described it.
On my trip to Los Angeles this week. I dropped in on "Superior". The office has about 6 or 8 scooters around for display, most of them have "not for California" signs on them, and a couple are outside on display. The office help are all sitting at tables working on computers. My impression is that the display is set up to fulfill a DMV requirement for dealerships to have a show room. It was the kind of place that when I left, I felt like I needed to take a shower.
Not exactly a giant warehouse with scooters piled up.

Yep, looks like they just take orders and order whatever from their distributors that they have signed with. Alleyoop

Well,
I am updating this since I have a better grip on my experience now. everyone I spoke to on the phone at Superior was extremely nice. Seemed like my order had kind of been mixed up in the Christmas rush time. However, Once they told me it was shipping the next day, it did. It arrived 4 days later (coast to coast)! It arrived with a flat tire and not wanting to start. They were very nice when I called them about it and wanted to do everything they could to rectify the situation. The tire thing was just the valve stem and the carb just needed adjusting.
The scoot is running strong now. The guy in the service department-Josh, even called me back last week to make sure that I got it running. I thought that was great customer service.
I received my bill of sale and paper to get it titled about a week after I got the scoot.
As a whole, I thought my experience with Superior was great. Just be ready to give it a good PDI. If you order, speak to Emily or Sandy-they were extremely nice and helpful.
Update:
I ride my scoot almost daily, and to this day, it is running strong! I have replaced the oils twice already. The only thing I have had happen is the Exhaust flange bolts came loose and it got really loud for a minute. When I went to check it out, there was no exhaust gasket on there at all. Something i missed when I did the pdi. I put one on and it is as good as new.
I would order from Superior again and I do recommend them.

I bought a Roketa 150 cc 74 about 6 months ago from Sandy at Superiorpower sports. She was wonderful. I like the bike so much that tomorrow I am going to order a 250 cc 54B. My question is this: Does the 54 B have problems. I have read a lot of complaints about this bike online. I really like it and want to order it but I am having second thoughts. My roketa 150 74 has never had any problems. Superior PS does a good job of going over the bike pretty well before they ship it to their customers. Other people have had other internet dealers that didn't and their bikes seem to come with a multitude of problems. So Am I safe to get a 54 B? Is it a good bike?

Most scooters have problems from time to time. Based on the number of members who ride the 54B, it's probably the most popular 250. A good PDI and routine maintenance will go far to prevent some of those problems. After that, do you feel comfortable doing some wrenching? I can't say a lot more since I don't own one but I'm sure some of the others, especially

ccprof- What do you mean. Do I feel good about wrenching? I am female. While I am handy (I do stuff that isn't traditionally female, such as wood work, drywall, fencing, build walls, etc but I also sew, knit and do ceramics lol) What I know about automotive is next to nil. I can point out the pos and neg terminals to a battery, jump it, trickle charge it, refill the window washer but that is about it. I do want to start doing my own maintanance to my bike however. But I know nut ting!!!!! nut ting!!!!. I will be learning from the beginning.

mcalli, I think you answered the professor's question. I take it from your post that your a "hands on" person and more than willing to learn. Knowing nut ting!!!!! (god awful pun) won't be much of a problem. The Doctors around here can answer most any question you can bring and take the greenest of newbies step by step through any fix. There is enough knowledge and willing help here to keep any scooter up and running. Between JR's mental encyclopedia and Bashen's crystal clear photos, it's fairly easy to understand the how to's. And that's just 2 outta of many here that will chime in and help out. M/C BTW, Glad you decided to join this group. Welcome to Scooter Doc! ;D

Thanks for all the info. Well, I just bought my second bike from superior power sports. I ordered a blue roketa 250cc 54 B. My 150 cc roketa type 74 is now up for sale. I bought it this summer and it only has 719 miles on it. I had never had any experience with any motor cycle or scooter before. I loved it so much I just had to upgrade. I was paying a guy to do maintance (oil changes etc) on it but he charged a fortune. So I am really glad I discovered this forum because I really am planning on doing all upkeep on my bike by myself. I am going to need a TON OF HELP!!!!! lol Thanks for answering my post. I am glad to meet you all and really look forward to getting to know you all. I had so much fun on my little 150 all summer. Can't wait til bike weather arrives and I can have fun on my new 250 Just sign me "Bit by the bug"!

Well, I still can't say enough about SPS.com. I ordered my new 250cc 54B in the beginning of January. I asked them to hold it for me until March 1st. ( It is freezing and snowy here in Ohio). I called a couple of weeks later to order a helmet (full face and bluetooth) and they are going to ship it with the bike. They gave me half off their price (they wanted 169 dollars and gave me the vcanblinc for 84.00, I thought that was extremely reasonable. Anyway, March 1st is the day they are going to ship it so I should get it within a week of that. They promised to do a good pdi on it like they did on the 150cc I had previously ordered from them. Time seems to be draggingggggggg ssssssssssooooooo slow. Will winter never be over?
