Great Job fixing the tank and switching over to a shutoff valve. Good luck tomorrow on the test drive. Maybe this saga will finally end and you can ride up and down the beach without it dieing on you. Alleyoop

Great job, hope you got it fixed for good. If you cut the zip ties at the locking tab they are easier to cut without cutting into the hose. I love zip ties and envy the person that created them. Good luck on your test ride, keep us informed on how it goes.

Thanks Alley Thanks Roy, I try to cut it close to the locking tab but I'll have to try to cut it closer next time, I was using a pair of tiny manicure scissors I cared about so maybe I'll use the emergency nail clippers i Keep in my book bag next time. Its just hard to get in there when I put them on so tight Ya zip ties rock. So hapy they were only $1 for a ton of em I also just found " quick release " zipties w a lil button on them at the grocery store. Wow now my life is complete I took it for a test drive to get gas, started fine, drove fine, put a gallon of gas in, drove fine home. I've been good about not forgetting to turn the fuel on/off. Now once this scoot runs until the tank is empty ( 1 tank full ) w/ out giving me crap he will be off of being on probation and THEN I will put his seat back on tight. I don't know what I'd do if the fuel didn't flow again, maybe put the damn tank IN the trunk and make the fuel flow straight down? LOL. Hahaha. Hopefully all is good now, the battery may be acting a little bitchy w holding a charge but knowing I can plug it in easy at my new place makes me not worry about getting a new battery too soon. Thanks for your help guys, hopefully I won't need your help for awhile but again, feel free to message me w any fitness/diet questions cuz thats what * I * specialize in

Wahlong, Open a thread for your problem so it does not get lost with this one. This problem has been solved on this one. The PETCOCK was bad, and rather than get a new PETCOCK, she took the Petcock off and replaced it with just a SHUTOFF VALVE(that was the fix). Alleyoop

Yup and so far so good. I ran it a lot today, got caught in the rain too. It hasn't given me any crap. Again the scoot is on probation for one tank full until I semi trust him again LOL

FANTASTIC!! We will give it one week of no cutting out due to no gas and we will consider this SAGA closed(HEHE). Got to admit you learned a hell of a lot and you now know how to fix the most common problems with a scoot that a lot of people do not know how to. Alleyoop

I did learn a lot thanks to you guys, especially you Alley I'm giving it 2 weeks or 1 full tank of gas before the scooter is off probation and the saga is closed ( which ever comes first )

Ya know it is so hard to find a scooter/motorcycle cover that is 100% waterPROOF that is under like $100. I've been looking all over, reading reviews and they all say they are only water RESISTANT ( even w when the ad SAYS its waterPROOF) meaning they kinda repel water but your sooter is going to get wet if its more than a tiny mist of rain. I ordered a cover once on ebay and it only covered HALF my scooter so my scooter has this water resistant cover on the back half OVER a cheap $1 clear rain poncho then I have a good blue poncho over the front half which works but looks really silly. At least I got my $ back on the cover that didn't fit. I just moved to a really nice building/neighborhood and don't want it to be an eye sore so I bought a new good black poncho for the front so at least my " rain protection " all matches

use a grill cover, they are usually lined with some soft material, available in several sizes, and heavy duty.
