Where do I find the tool to bore my case to 63 mm to accommodate the big bore kit I am considering buying?

I saw a YouTube video of a guy "boring" the case with a dremel tool. He just stuck a rag down in to catch the shavings and went to town on the case. It's not much to shave off and the way I saw it, the gasket makes the seal anyways. What you don't want to do is cut too thin, but there is a little room to work with.

Not recomended using a dremil ! Best to spend the extra and get a proper case boring tool. I tried to use a dremil when my 61mm cylinder wouldn't fit into my old scoots crankcase in March ! Big big hassel when trying to fit . The case boring tool will help keep things in parameter between the 2 crankcase halfs with less hassels. All it takes is just a little too much with the dremil to screw up your days work and being forced to get another crankcase!! Scooterworks.com if I remember corretly has pre bored crankcases that will be less cost than buying a boring tool outright and doing it yourself. will c.

DO NOT use a dermil tool to bore your cases. Alignment of the bore is critical or you will have premature failure. Any machine shop should be able to bore your case, most will require you also take them the jug.

>>>How do you know when your done ? You have a bigger hole... ;-) You need to bore through about 1/2" then down beside the head stug holes... This was done at a local machine shop and it is sh*tty...way off to the right...exactly what you don't want... totalruckus.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=30608Attachments:

wow there just is NO ROOM FOR ERROR. but what do you expect for an engine that started out as a 50. i would sure like to see a redesign that started out as a 200. at 200 you would not need or have to do much. john
