Boric acid is really great for roaches, and, I would be careful about mixing it with lemon aid! You might see some roaches all puckered up.

yeah i got it for the roaches in the house, if you live in florida, chances are, you have roaches in your house. i just heard about somebody putting it in their cvt for slipping. mine dont slip at all so i was just wondering if there was any other use for it lol.

I never even read any of that so far as to try and understand it. What is wrong with regular old 10W30 or 40? It sure surpasses any need these engines have.

If you search boric acid/motor oil you get forums that are giddy over it  , and this article from 2007 keeps coming up. I can't find anything research oriented that's current, if anybody knows of a recent article please post it. Don't you think if pouring some boric acid in oil was that simple the oil companies would be doing it? This is a quote from a forum I ran into and I think it sums it up perfectly:
"you could substitute your motor oil with many different fluids and gain 4-5% in fuel economy based on lubricity. It's a feel good article from a very immature standpoint. Lubricity is one thing... viscosity, film thickness, shear stability, oxidation resistance and high temp characteristics (all the real world stuff) are not even mentioned. So to make a claim of swapping to this oil as being a good thing seems a little far fetched."
For example, what if you got an increase in mileage for a month and then your head gasket blew? Things are never as simple as they seem on the surface, that applies to molecules also. Rich

the acid crap is just about the same deal as an ad on tv for a product that not available in stores. your either going to get screwed on the money and worth of item or it isn't going to work as advertised and is too much trouble or cost to return. If that product was so good all the stores would be fighting to get it on the shelves.
If acid was so great, many manufacturers would be scrambling to get it on the market and it might even be a brand new company using commonly available oil with acid added and repackaged. john
