Never saw anything like that but Get some JB weld and plug it up that is what I would try. But do not fill it to deep in the hole just more on the outside so it for some reason it makes it worse you can drill it back out. Alleyoop

Well if you look at the bulge passage way it does go to the ENRICHER. Ususally the Enricher gets the gas from the PILOT JET but this ones looks like it has its own feed. Alleyoop

You can use ATV gasker maker, it sets into a nice rubber then put a zip tie around it. Alleyoop

I am sorry BO, For taking so long getting to the problem, all this time I thought you were talking about an open port on the outside of the carb. But now you see how sometimes it is important to get some pictures to actually see what the problem may be. Alleyoop

Hi Bo, looking for leaks, get spray bottle of water, as scooter is running spray all the vacuum connections, if the idle goes up or down you have found your leak

I do not think you will find anyone that really knows only the manufactuer and the importers don't care they just order carbs by the hundreds and do not ask questions. Most do not even know how carb works or the passages it has.
I would plug it up you will find out within 5 10 mintues if it makes it worse or better. If worse just take the plug off nothing gained nothing lost. But if it makes it better for starting then you hit a home run.
It is not going to do any damage it will either start better for you and most likely idle higher at start up or not want to start. Alleyoop

Good luck Bo, and let us know good or bad, I personally think it will allow the enricher to suck in more fuel. Alleyoop

BO, The inricher when cold is retracted and it is spring loaded. So yes you can push it in or out a little. But here is how it should look when cold so it feeds extra fuel when you first start it. As you can see it is RETRACTED BACK TOWARD the RUBBER HOLDER in this position it feeds fuel to the motor. When it shuts the fuel off it looks like this NOTICE IT IS EXTENDED OUT about 1/4 of an INCH. NOTICE THE RUBBER O-RING that is to seal it. NOTICE the next SLOT on the enricher YOu push the ENRICHER into the hole so that the SLOT is just OUT SO YOU CAN PUT the "C" clip in the slot and put the two screws to hold it down. Now since you took the carb off, You also took off the FLOAT RIGHT? well you might have messed the float up and no gas is in the bowl. Open the DRAIN SCREW on the carb bowl and see if fuel comes out of the Carb Bowl. Alleyoop
