I have a newer battery (November) and it keeps running out of juice. I had it fully charged this morning and within 20 miles of riding it was drained so low I had to kick start it. Where do I start?

Get a volt meter then charge the battery. Hook up the volt meter to the battery and start the scoot. It should register 12.7+ volts then rev it up to around 4K and if your charging system is charging it should register 13+ 14+ volts. If not then it probably your regulater/rectifier is bad. Alleyoop

I've been charginging it up daily. I was at 12.7+ when I started today. Here is a picture of my regulator/rectifier. They all look the same to me. Which one do I need? on a side note, would this volt meter work on my scoot if I have an AC version?

Yes a volt meter you hook up to the battery not the Regulator/Rectifier then you would know if it is charging as you are riding. It is a good idea to put one on also a tach is a good thing to put on if your scoot does not have one.
QUESTION ON THE REGULATOR RECTIFIER, you need to know how many WIRES the plug has so you get a R/R with the same number of pins so it plugs right in for your 150cc scoot. Alleyoop

Thanks Alley! I'll check that in the AM. So this volt meter will work with my AC scoot?
What tach do you recommend?

I'll bet that Tvnacman has that rectifier In stock. Check him out. He is on here and you can find him by doing a member look up.

Thanks Alley! I'll check that in the AM. So this volt meter will work with my AC scoot? What tach do you recommend? I didn't charge the battery overnight. I tested it this AM and got a reading of 12.3 volts. Tried to start it and got that nasty electrical buzz noise when your battery is too low but not dead. I have it charging now. Will retest it and check it under higher RPMs.

You need to check acv output from the stator eith the stator unplugged at idle and at about 5000rpm .
