OK have at it. in our library here there are wiring diagrams, and tutorials relating to stator checking and replacement. They tell how to check out a stator and you could use those checks to see if yours is similar. There are some variations in the amount coils that make for differences in how they check and work so you would need to see that yours matchs up with the parts you bought.
Can't believe they still sell snowmobiles without an electric starter today! Even the better push lawnmowers have a push button start!

Actually the ship carrying them is due at longbeach on the 23rd of this month. I got the money saved but would be happier spending for a low end 200 or 250cc. they do have a couple advance copies for testing there now.

I am having a slow leak problem with my rear tire, I have to pump it up every other day. I haven't taken the time to dip it and see if it's the stem, bead, or rubber. I plan on getting new tires once summer gets here, so I'll probably just limp through the next couple of months pumping it up every other day. No issues with the front tire, but the front master cylinder has a leaking plunger, haven't decided if I want to rebuild it or replace it. get a windex bottle put warm water + dawn dish soap in it and spray the wheel and tire. works every time. Tiny bubbles.......Guitarman should know that song, he lives in Hi.

You already have dc unless you have a pull start from 40 years ago. If you have an electric start you have dc. Don't go messing up the wiring with some thing that does not belong on there.

That rx3 is going to cost the big players a ton of sales in adventure bikes even with the smaller engine in it. If I do go for it the first thing I am going to do is take the majesty over to a bike shop and put it on consignment.
Oh other countries already have them and the new owners are really happy with them. The ones coming here have had a few changes, for the better I hear. Only thing I can see is it does not ship here with a 21" front wheel.

The reason I filter now is that I almost got rear ended last week by a teen driver who apparently didn't have much experience with his brake pedal. Filtering makes it impossible to get rear ended at a light. Here's an example....... I have been riding continuously since 1958 (57 years) and have never had any one come close to hitting me in the rear at a stop light. I have seem many many accidents caused by sudden changes of lanes though. Getting rear ended happens and I think I would rather chance that than to take a chance switching lanes, "filtering" or other fancy manuvers. You may not realize it but running between lanes where you have only a few feet of leeway puts you in a position of getting crushed should a car decide to switch or get hit in the side by another one. No matter how careful there is always a stupid out there to get you. Last year I had a friend stopped at a light on his harley and a old bag made a left turn and cut the corner hitting his bike knocking it down and bending the frame. He didn't get a scratch but it cost her insurance company around $15,000 to replace it.

On another forum I have been following banter about a new chinese 250cc bike that is real close to the $6000 jap bikes, it will sell for about $3500 to $3800. A rx3 by zongshen. Water cooled and is more of an adventure bike than straight dual purpose. I may not spring for one that costs that much but will probably get a dirt bike with the long stroke suspension that will ride a whole hell of a lot better than a scooter on these roads around here.

And for painting plastic, krylon has some super good rattle can paint designed for plastic. I used some for a scooter dash in dark gray wrinkle and it looks factory fresh.

For the right price the chinese can make just about anything just as good as taiwan or japan. The thing is with most of the low end scooters they are made for a low price rather than quality. How about the bmw engines made in china are they any less than the german engine they replace?

Just get a 150cc gy6 engine and a welder even with exotic upgrades you still have a 50cc basic motor. We used to hear from some of the guys that did the exotics and some of their scooters must have had $2000 $3000 in the motors. and then they would blow up!

I have never tried going in to a business with a helmet. One of the banks around here has a sign that says take off your hats too.
On the other hand I never take it off getting gas because I pay at pump.
If you want to make trouble dress up like a catholic nun or a muslim woman, no one checks them. I am waiting for one to go into the dmv for a drivers license and wear a burka!
