shaving the top of the piston down is not a good idea as it will make the top of the piston to thin and as soon as it gets up to temp it will blow a hole in it

shaving the piston is not gonna do you any good for your chain length you need to retract the tensioner before bolting it to the motor and make sure your chain glides are in there proper place and one of the chains you have will fit

did you retract the tensioner on the motor before bolting it to the motor

yea a pic would help did you ground the plug to the motor are not and the green wires on the scooters are normally are grounds

the vin should be on the headtube where the stem from the forks goes though looks kinda like a Tank they made a bike like that good luck

i was gona say have it welded up but that is not a crack it is a big hole good luck finding a cover

you should have afuse inline to the battery from the r/r on the little red wire make sure it is good with the meter and make sure you have good grounds from the motor to frame and the r/r to frame

i was a mechanic for the local cab co. a few years ago and they had cars with over 300,000 miles on them
