I remember for some reason around '15 or so most of the scooter boards died off. I got tboned on my Quantum and that wasn't even the worst part of that night. The way I fell, I snatched the throttle off. I took a break lever from my bicycle parts and rigged it up. It rode... like an old Nova but rode. Guys insurance totaled it out. If plastics weren't so hard to get, I'd have bought it back.
I want another one. I was made a mod of a local scooter group on fb. I'm going to be working on a chinese scooter blog, but with the dissapearance of Scrappy Dog, it's going to be hard with the bodystyle section.

Been a long time since I've been here, but I'm trying to help a friend. She has one of the original bodystyle 250s with the U shaped tail light. I'm trying to find the gas tank door and I'm coming up zilch. Seems like the at50 is the easiest thing to find plastics for.
A lil catch up to me and my old scooter; I got tboned on it way back then.

I remember watching a youtube video years ago where the guy glued a decent size magnet on the bottom of his scooter. I like the idea of doing that, maybe more than one to be safe.

These types are the best type, and it's a shame not all the bikes come with them.

That is an interesting way to do it. I must have missed that in your postings but, I will remember it. I do have an AC impact wrench. I've got a 24volt impact, man is that thing neccessary in general. I actually had to break the variator off, it was on so tight. What happened was, when the belt broke, it closed up, and those lil plastic guides came off, and those fingers went buh-bye.

I got a Shinko(think that's the brand) tire at the MoSuStore down the street from me, it was about 40$, Took the wheel off, and brought both to the Honda dealership, the other way, a little more than down the street, and they mounted it for 24$ and some change.

My fiance is trying to get a Buddy 50, that has some body damage, and I'm wondering if body panels from another gy6 scooter will bolt on? The scooter shop I'm "working" at, has a decent amount of the run-o-the-mill 50cc body panels, I could slap on. Is there anything specific about the Buddys frame that differs from other ones?

Yeah, it was replaced, and it was a pain to get off.

Factory belt, way over 2k miles, speedo doesn't work, so not sure exactly. Yes, I saw the rollers were strewn about all in the inside of it. It's my '14Quantum, as of June 1st I'be had it a year.

If you just asked a question I think you just answered it right. Well, I tried to google search it, but there wasn't much in results. I found another board that had a similar topic, that Allyoop had something to say on it, so I asked. I don't know much on fixing them, hell; the capabilities of a CVT itself is far above what I used to think about them.

My cvt belt broke a few days ago, I had went to put the new gates belt on it today, and as I cleaned out the case, I found bits of metal in it, couldn't find where they came from, until I went to put the belt on, and discovered the front variator was shut/hi gear position, turns out all the roller retaining metal was broken. Is this even posible?

I don't think being aircooled makes them noisy, as they are still carbed. Besides, they can be both, I checked out a Vulcan R, and it was a water-cooled, air-cooled bike.
