Thanks Jim for the information. It sure seems as if everyone is selling the 2008 models. Nice to know you are selling the newer models. Please let me know what you find out about the IB 300

OK, I can buy into the carb vs fuel injection. Although all the Jap scooters and bikes have fuel injection in them. Now when was the last time you had to remove your front grill and bumper off your car or truck to change a head light bulb? LOL All I'm saying is there has to be a better designed scooter.

Jim, how are you? I looked at Killer Motor Sports, but had no idea they were drop shipped from the supplier. Since you know this unit can you please fill us all in on the details of the scooter and why this one is much higher then lets say a Roketa 250 54B. It doesn't appear as if anyone on this board owns one, which sounds strange unless it just came out. Which brings me to the next question why are all scooters sold today 2008 models? What happened to 2009-2011? Are these scooters sitting in a create for 3 or 4 year?
To be honest I don't get the China scooter deal at all. Why no fuel injection in 2012? Why don't they produce a real 300 cc or 400 cc scooter?
My main concern is simple maintenance. The only thing you can do on a Roketa 250 without having to remove a bunch of plastic is change the oil, change the gear oil and change the rear brake and signal bulbs. No one should have to remove the entire front end to change a burnt out headlight bulb or signal bulb.
So Jim what makes the Icebear scooter worth the price?

Thanks guys for your input. It would be nice to speak with someone who actually owns one. I do like the look of it and I sure like how easy it is to get to the CVT.

Thanks Alley. I couldn't make heads or tails out of it. So it's not the 25 HP Killer Motor Sports advertizes it as having. Is IceBear a good product?

The only lights which come on the Linhai are the running lights and the license plate light. By pressing the brake on the brake lights would light up without the engine running. It is easy to access the rear brake bulbs on the Linhai. Under the seat in the back there are two 10 mm bolts which you remove and a handle at the top of that panel. Just pull it out and you are looking at the signal lights and brake light sockets.

Octane?

I use 89 octane and my 250 54B has 9600 miles on it. Every time I fill it up I put an ounce or two of Seafoam in the gas.

Just what I said. If I follow your scale up I should be using 90 octane fuel which I have been using since day one. Not wasting any money and gas mileage is great at over 70 mpg. Plus the graph is wrong a 427 Chevy engine with a 10.5 to one compression can only use 93 octane.

That is the worst screw to get at. You will burn your hand trying to adjust with engine running. What I did was loosen both c clamp screws, turn the carb slowly towards the kick stand side. Put scooter on kick stand and from the muffler side you can get at the screw with a long screw driver. Turn it all the way in and then back off 2 1/2 turns. Should not run rich or lean at that setting. I use 90 octane and my scooter gets over 70 mpg with almost 8,000 miles on it.

Oh, you will need a 10 mm wrench to loosen the screws when you do the value job. 8mm to remove the valve cover.

If I took that hose off my scooter it would hardly start and for sure stall and stall. You need that hose I use 3/16" hose and put them on with plastic ties.

Alley is right on with this. My scooter wouldn't start either. Charged battery and it started right up, next day dead. Charged it again then took it Advanced auto where it checked out fine. JR told me to take it to Auto Zone and have them do a load test. Well it failed 4 load tests done on it. Went to Walmart and purchased a new 9 Amp battery. Runs great and starts right up. Make sure you have a load test done before looking at starter, etc.
