Alleyoop, I understand your situation and i admire your wrenching skills. I am interested mostly in what your total investment was, roughly, to get the performance you wanted. On the 'other' forum I believe that you were the one discussing with the new triker the number of mods, ect. that he was adding to his trike for performance. I am sure that it was worth it to him but am curious as to the total investment in the trike to get it to where he wanted it. I agree that you got a gfood deal on your two trikes!!!Thanks, as usual for you input.

A point well made, Andrew. It was only a matter of time before the Chinese labor force realized that it deserved higher wages for the hours put in. While I am not particularly a union man in this case the Chinese workers need one. They deserve better wages, better working conditions, better living conditions. Hello, China!! Welcome to the modern world.

Meaning no offense to others here I am going to play Devils Advocate and ask one simple question concerning IB trikes. We bought Chinese because the initial cost was reasonable compared to other scooters made in Japan or Europe or Taiwan. I have read on other forums owners who are doing a lot of mods to get the correct performance from IB trikes or overcoming the many manufacturing errors (lets leave it at that, we all know what those problem areas are). Has anyone considered how much all these repairs/mods have cost parts wise alone? Take the original cost of the scooter, add these costs to it and see what the total is. Could you have bought a better trike or scooter for what you have now spent? Something to think about.

I have heard about that problem too. We have 2 or 3 in our area but have never talked to the owners. The unit has a 250 cc engine rated at only 13 hp.

Any one out there have any experience with the Roketa 250c Spyder reverse trike? Built like the Can-Am trike.

Rich, thanks for all the pix. A great trip to be remembered. I have an Eclectus Parrot, female, the Black Widow of all parrots. Good talker when she chooses. Can handle her if I am very careful and she is in a rare good mood. Usually get serious bites however. That tilting trailer is a work of art. Glad you are now back south with a sucessful trip behind you.

Rich, according to the Bible 666 is the mark of the Devil!!! However recent studies have shown that the figure has been translated wrong from the original Hebrew so you should be safe. 8^) Safe trip and God Speed.

Prof, so far as I know that is not a problem here in GA.. I will look into it before I buy. I have a HF 20 miles away to the south, and a TS 30 miles north so i will check both out when the time comes. Thanks for the input.

As I said before, others say dont cut the brown wire!! Also I have an MRP air filter on my TGB. Put in an MRP CDI but could never get the scoot to run reliably so took it out and put the old CDI back in. She now runs just fine. I wont blame the MRP CDI but this was my experience. The original CDI has a restricter that will cut the engine off momentarily if I get it maxed out on RPM's. This is a good thing as it prevents you from damaging the engine by over revving. Shuts off at apx. 44 mph.Can run all day at 43!!!

In my experience tops for the modded 2T is around 40-45. My Tomops Revival has a 70cc mod kit and exhaust, has never given any trouble and cruises at 40. My TGB/Peirspeed Delivery 50cc 2T, has been derestricted, has an MRP exhaust, rejetted carb, and tops out at 43 mph. From what I read dont cut the brown wire!!! Hope this is some help to you.

Doc. Jr, I have a 150 cc trike(now a yard trike using the trailer hitch to haul a garden trailer for work on the acreage, sadly a failed experiment, but I may have a different aproach in the works) 2 50cc 2T's which I really like, and 2 150cc's. I agree that the 50cc 2T's are on the way out sadly. They have faster pickup than the 4's give less trouble, but will be forced out by the EPA sooner or later. Strange since they use less gas than most vehicles. However, they are best used in town or on country roads with little traffic as they max out around 40 or so.

I agree with CooKies and Dr. JR basically. Nothing wrong with modding, have done a little. Nothing wrong with 50cc bikes when used correctly and in town. I own 2, one is my Tomos Revival( my motor home bike) and the other is a TGB Delivery 50cc, it is a good campus bike or town bike. I will sell it soon. I traded my Tank 250 for an older TGB Delivery 150 and have no regrets. For my riding needs and area the TGB topping out at a bit over 60 is fine. For those who are gifted at wrenching and who enjoy souping up 150's go for it. The idea is to have fun with the ride. For those of us who are not gifted in that area and want speed, go to the 250's. As for me I will stick with stock 150 scoots. If you really want to go FAST get a Piaggio MP3 500. Had one pass me on the X way the other day, I was doing 75 and he left me and a bunch of others in his dust doing at least 80. By the time you get thru modding you will have spent enough to buy the Piaggio and can get more than enough speed plus have a reverse trike to boot. (well, perhaps not as much since the Piaggio runs around $9000.00).

Great working dogs. I have been involved with show dogs for 49 years. Original breed was Borzoi & Italian Greyhounds. Was a Pro handler in the 70's & 80's. No longer showing but my wife judges. If you put a Great Pyrenees in a side car you would need a can opener to get him out but you would not have to worry about riding the hack as his weight would keep the rig on the ground!!

John, I agree concerning the use of 150's on expressways or roads of that type. Even a 250 would not be adequate for that. I did have a Piaggio MP3 500cc pass me the other day on the expressway. I was driving at 70 mph and he left me in the dust, must have been doing 80 or more(that is the reverse trike that Piaggio makes.) But for the driving on my roads the 150 holds its own, The Ural is still low priced but has a bad reputation for break downs, is best operated at 60-65, gets 30-33 mph, but still is interesting. What breed of dog do you have?
