What kind of air filter? Most aftermarket air filters that work, like UNIs and K&N, require that they be oiled with the correct filter oil...the ones that don't..like the cheap knock-offs are just about useless at filtering out dust...might as well run with no filter at all... Put the stock airbox back on and your problem will likely go away... Silly Sprocket, he mentioned he put the stock back on..lol. maybe you unplugged a vacuum line by mistake when you put the new filter on?

That is a sexy 33.3hp scooter, little small for the hwy but it looks great. Too bad it costs as much as a car.

I haven't uncrated it yet, came too late but this scooter was crated in 2009 as per the markings on the crate. We will see when I get it over to the dealership to assemble this beast.

I believe that my 07 is most likely a 2009 or 2010 that was just labeled a 2007 for some strange reason but I will find out for sure later today when the truck comes.

I have not rode one yet but the size should be sweet. I am a large guy and it should be awesome. I cannot wait. Doing the PDI and my buddies Mercedes Dealership. Nice clean stocked garage.

That might be Rich but I think cheap scooters will be with us for a long time. Look at Killer Motor Sports: www.killermotorsports.com/250cc_Scooters_250_Gas_Mopeds_Cheap_250cc_s/406.htmThe 2007 model is $1550, but the current identical is, what?, $1900. Who else sells a scooter that cheap. Even Green Earth and GS Motorworks are selling their current 150s for around $1000. Compare that to the next cheapest 150s from Kymco. The Chinese built Super 8 is $2400, over twice as much. Plus Killer is selling The Bali 250, which I assume is nearly current, at $1550. Highway speed for under $1600. One third the price of a Kymco 250. I bought one of those $1550 2007 250's shipped in silver. Should be here REAL soon. It has the 257cc Linhai clone engine.

Bringing up one from the past. I just bought a new 1P57-QMJ engine complete though with a cracked rear part of the case that happened during shipping for $75 shipped off eBay. I intend to take the piston with block, head assy. from this and put it on my standard 157-QMJ. My valve seals and my piston rings leak so I feel this is a good deal. Will I have to install a longer cam chain or just use the one from the donor motor? Is there any challenges that I may not have planned for? I purchased a new gasket kit. I like the higher compression and larger valves of this new engine.

I am off the market for a scooter for now, seems nobody wants to take my money and be honest. I am canceling the order for this 244. I will not own one, I want a 257 (stomps hands down..lol) I will wait until I find someone who will give me proper customer service and sell me what I want. if you guys wanna recommend someone PLEASE only list people you have bought a scooter from personally, not someone you heard of from a friend or read in a forum. Keep in mind my budget is $2,000 shipped and I want a 257cc scooter, everything else is optional.
