This is the air filter I have .I will take pictures of the air box first thing in the morning .When I bought the variator it was a complete unit .It said stock oem variator for GY6 I do not no the weight of the rollers

Everybody is really helping and doing great.Let me say thanks in advance .Know last Sat I noticed that the air filter was turned up side down .I thought .Just by the way it looked and fit in the case .It is a small round element .One end has a hole about the size of a lemon ,my fist will fit in the other end .It had the small end facing down and the big end up facing to the top of the housing.So I thought with the small end on the bottom that it would resist air so I turned it over so the big end is facing down.I also replaced the variator the old one had a weight missing ,but I had the bog before I replaced it .When I pull out on my street my scoot takes a small amount of throttle ,then when I give it more throttle it bogs down and I have to weight and weight on the speed to increase .When I got it 2 weeks ago it ran good and had power

I tried to adjust it the best I could Alley.After making the adjustment it sure does crank a lot easier .I forgot to add that the spark plug was real white when I took it out to replace it .

Well I got the carb off today .It was spot less.I also got the seafoam as advised .I added 2 oz per as label said .I also added the new NGK spark plug .I noticed when I was in the carb the jet was stamped #103 .I rode my scooter home from the shop about 4 blocks .It was in the 30's and spitting snow .Is it possible with that size jet that my scoot is running with to lean at those colder temps ?I still have the factory air filter ,but I do not think the exhaust is factory .It has ok take of , but at a very mild throttle it just bogs .I also found some more vacuum lines that needed replacing .I got that took care of to .Does any one have any comments for what would be next ?

I changed the oil last weekend and repaired two vacuum leaks already .I will get the sea foam tomorrow .I am going to get a new spark plug too a NGK does any one happen to have the spark plug part # for the gy6 ?

I have had my scooter since last Thursday .I have repaired a exhaust leak ,fixed the charging .Know a week later it is is not running the best .When I got it was setting on the gentleman's porch .I have no ideal when it was last started .He said he just rode his g/children around in the yard with it .So it has not seen any blacktop in a while I think .Every since I got it I have put several miles a day on it .The only thing that I can think of is that the choke was unplugged which I plugged back up .I think there was some trash in the tank or the carb bowl that has worked its way to the jets.I put 93 octane in it when I filled it up .I plain on cleaning the carb this weekend .It was real peppy when I got it .It bogs quiet a bit know .Does any have any comments that might help me ?

My red scooter is coming along nicely . I have a exhaust leak that I'm going to work on know .I have a 157qmj .I think I want to replace the exhaust studs, gasket and the nuts too .I am looking at parts .One site shows a gasket for my engine the next site shows a metal ring looking gasket . Does anyone know which I have ? How hard will it be to replace the studs ? I was wanting to get all my parts together before I take it apart to make a Sat evening project out of the leak.Thanks for any advice

Well I am moving on my way to getting my scooter just the way I want it ,but the tach does not work . My question is ,does the signal for the tach come from the stator trigger or the cdi unit ?Is there any testing that will help me find my problem ?This little used scooter will be so much fun this summer when I get all these little fixes done .

I got it charging .Wow was that rectifier in a spot .The lock on the connect was undone and it was almost unplugged on one end .The battery tested bad so I replaced it to .THANKS everybody

My scooter is not charging .It's a 150 cc Chinese scooter .I have found the rectifier and the stator .I have have a DVOM .I just do not know quiet what I'm supposed to be testing for .Can someone help me ?

Hello everyone just got my first scooter .Its a red magnum 150 .I purchased it used it has a few little things wrong wrong but I think I can work the out ,maybe with some help .
