Hello,
Just wanted to let you all know that I have not had a chance to work on the scooter, but I hope to get to it this weekend. :-)

Hi Again, On the Tao Tao, I believe my mechanic did check for spark and if I remember correctly, I think there was no spark but I will check again. Not sure if we followed all the steps you suggested. Again, thanks sooooooo much for your help. I hope to get a few more rides from this scooter before it gets to cold. It is one of the best riding scooters I've been on. Pretty toooo! L

Hi Again, Thanks again for the suggestions. I think I will retire the pink scooter until I can check it out this weekend. As far as the Tao Tao, it will turn over but will not start. I will try to check the ignition switch this weekend also. Hopefully I can get it going again.

thanks so much for the suggestions. quick question regarding the pink scooter. is it dangerous to continue to ride the scooter as it is or is this something i should take care of right away? as far as the tao tao and the rain incident, it happened a few months ago, so I am assuming everything should be dry by now right? i will check it out again. again thanks!!!

Hello All, It's been awhile since I've been here. No computer for awhile. Couple of questions. I have a 150cc tao tao scooter. It ran and started great until I rode it in the rain. Not a down pour but steady rain. Right when I got it home and was about to shut it off, it cut off itself. I changed the spark plug. I also check to see if the air filter was dry and it was. The scooter has about 1400 miles on it. Any suggestions? Also I have a 150cc Peace Sports Edge, 2011. It has only about 700 miles. This is kinda hard to explain but the front end does not seem to be lose and it does not wobble. Just seems to have a lot of play. Not sure if you guys understand what I mean. Just does not seem as steady as some of the other scooters I have ridden if that makes sense. The front tire does not seem to be low. Do some models just have more play in the front end or is this something I should be worried about? Other than that it rides great. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help. Attachments:

Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for the help. We did check the charging system again and it did not go pass the 13 so I guess the next thing to check is the regulator as you all suggested.
Hope to get back to it today. Let you all know. Again thanks so much. Now on my way to the help files to see how to test the regulator. You all have a great day.

Hello Everyone,
I have a tao tao 50cc (well friend has a tao tao T3 I believe) that keeps draining the battery. He seems to think that maybe if we get a new battery it will help. It came with a very small 4 pound battery. Was thinking of getting a 9 pound battery.
Also tried other batteries and the scooter also drained those.
This scooter is not super new. Once he hooked up the battery wrong and it blew a fuse. Just wondering if that may have cause the problem? The draining of the battery problem started to happen thereafter.
He also said he tested the charging system with the v meter. Thinking maybe we should try that again. Also not sure if it would be the stator?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks KEV

Hello,
Well.. come to find out that the fuel pump (vacuum I think) was faulty. The part was under warranty and they sent us a new one. I know scoots are not perfect when they arrive but a faulty fuel pump? Oh well... the scoots is running really, really good now.
Thanks everyone!

Well... the carb had no gas in it at all either. I was told the fuel pump is shot so the company is sending out a new one. I hope tht is what it is. I guess I will let you all know when it gets here. Kinda strange for a new scooter. The help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Please forgive me if I posted this already. I thought I did but could not find it.
Well anyhooo...I adusted the valves today on my 50cc Tao Tao to .004 and .005 and now I hear a loud ticking. Runs better though.
The settings suggested in the owners manual are completely different than what others have suggested (.004 & .005) just wonder if that has something to do with the ticking?
I read someplace as to what to do put in this situaltion but as just could not put my finger on that thread. Any suggestions?
Thanks KEv

Hi again,
Well...I check to see if the fuel filter was on correctly. It was ok. I put a little gas in the line and it did run for a little while, well at least it started... yeah!!! Now it looks like the filter has no gas in it and it will not start again. Not sure what is going on. Any other suggestions guys?
Thanks so much in advance. Kinda getting tired of this thing! :-(
