Hey, well i think i did everything. Still cranks over but now it does not start. I do notice that no fuel is going into the fuel filter. Any other suggestions.
Thanks

Hi Again, Well, I checked to see if anything was lose or plugged. Seems like everything is ok. After is was laid down, there was a small puddle of gas on the ground. After the PDI, it would start after a few attempts and run pretty good. Then after we turn it off it would be very hard to start. Now it will not start at all but it still tries to crank over. Sometimes when we put our finger over the larger tube that kind of hang from the bottom of the bike it would start. Not sure if that is the vacuum hose? It is a big hose about an inch wide. Oh, wait a minute,I just check the help files and I think that hose is the fresh air tube and it is not connected. Could that be the problem? I may be wrong on that though. At the present time, it will not start at all. :-( Again, thanks for your help.

Darn it, I got the carb out and now it seems like the float bowl cover screws are covered, how do I get to the jets??
This is a brand new scooter, never ridden and very hard to start if it starts at all. When I got it, my friend laid it on its side and gas spilled out. Would this be a carb problem anyway or would I check the valves?
It is a 50cc
Gesssh.... very frustrating.
Thanks

Hello, Thanks so much for your help. I am thinking all of that crap in the tank is just old gas gone bad. When we put new gas in the tank, it started to drain from the bottom of the scooter. The drain screw is still in there. We tried to tighten it up but it still leaks gas. Guessing we need a new drain screw. Just our luck. KEV

Hello,
Today I took a look in my scooter's gas tank and saw a bunch of brown thick crap. Anyway to clean this out without removing the gas tank? I tried searching the board for help before asking with no luck.
Thanks

Hi All, Well, it seems like my friend's rear brake assembly was unable to be fixed. The company is sending out a new rear brake assembly. Again, thanks for the help.

Hi,
Ok, thanks for the information. Not sure what happened to the rear brakes. My friends says that they never worked.
Well, I guess we got a bit of work to do. Thanks for the advice. :-)

Hi
Yes, you were right, we did not know that the brake fluid was for the front brake only.
We just tried holding the brake cable inside the spring with a needle nose and trying to adjust the nut again but no luck. Would you happen to have any additional suggestions?
Thanks so much

Hello all,
Another question for you guys My friend's tao tao 50cc very new scooter back brake does not work. We tired to adjust it by tighten the adjustment nut on the back wheel and we also check the brake fluid. It is pretty much a brand new scooter. I am sure it is not the brake shoes.
Any suggestions.
Thanks

Hi Guys, Well, it took us longer than expected but we finally got to check out the scooter. The enricher was fine so I am thinking we may need to check the fuel mixture adjustment screw. This may sound very strange but for the life of me we could not find it!! I am not sure if we have a different carb? Also kinda wondering if something was in the gas tank. Wondering if draining and replacing the gas a good idea. Thanks Kev Attachments:

Oh, ok. I knew they were different. I just thought that I'd mention that we tried the idel screw and changed the spark plug as to give you an idea to what we had tried to do before asking for advice. Just forgot to mention in my first post.
Thanks so much for the pictures though, I am hoping i have enough ink in my printer to print them out for future reference.
I will let you know what happens. We will try to get to it tomorrow or Tuesday.

Thanks, we will try that tomorrow. We had already tried to adjust the idle screw but that did not help at all. We also changed the spark plug, so we got a bit stuck as to what to do next. Thanks for the advice!!

Hello Again Everyone, My friend just got a 2012 50cc Renegade scooter. It is an awesome looking scooter. (see picture) It has only about 10 miles on it. The problem is that once we try to start the scooter, it runs crappy and shuts off until it warms up. It will then run ok once it is warmed up until we try to start it again the next day. It then does the same thing. I was told that the choke may not be working properly. I myself was thinking maybe a dirty carb or it may need a valve adjustment? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks KEV Attachments:
