Very heart warming vids! I almost lost my 9 year old shortly after birth due to a heart defect. He turned blue in the maternity ward and after some tests was flown from Sioux Falls, SD to the children's hospital in Omaha, NE. He has had 4 different heart operations since including a pulmonary valve replacement. I cherish every moment with my son and the last 9 years have ben the best years of my life.

On my tank 150/250 only about half of the other bikes I meet wave but I have to admit its kind of a silly looking scooter. A friend of mine let me take his 59 Cushman Eagle for a ride when I was trying to decide weather or not to sell my 61 and EVERYONE waved including the HD boys. I don't know if its because its old, American made, or looks like a small HD. After that I decided to keep the 61.

Would love it to work! Several groups have tested them on cars and they have failed to improve anything. They actually heart HP on the dyno because of restricted airflow. This is one of the sights that claim they don't work. "click and clack" www.cartalk.com/

Good to hear. A broken shock at speed could be a handful!

Beautiful work and beautiful scoot! The only concern I have is the angle on that rear shock. It may be just fine but I'm not sure a cheap Chinese shock is up to that kind of side load.

I don't think anyone on this sight is going to give you a bad time about your particular scoot. We love em all around here. To answer your question, I do believe a good carb cleaning is in order. If you need some instruction on the process check the tech section. As for ethanol that is a debatable question. I personally believe that it is harmless and actually helps keep the fuel system clean. I use it in everything I own and have not had any problems.

Having the 150 decals and 250 performance is part of the fun! Anybody who knows chinese scoots will be able to spot the Honda clone motor anyway.

Well I have about 50 miles on it now. I had to work on the charging system but that problem was there before the conversion. The upside is I now have automotive headlights that are much brighter and no longer have the cheap chinese bulb sockets that were shooting out. I also have twin air horns that will make the cagers crap!
Its bean a long road but all in all I'm glad its done. The acceleration is much better with the 250 and I can now hold 65mph where that used to be my top speed. Its also nice to have a genuine CFmoto drivetrain with is supposed to be better quality than the copies. We will see.
Finally the important questing. Was it worth it. In cash money I originally paid $1000 for the scoot. I invested anouther $600 in parts for the conversion. That includes the engine, rim, tire, 2 radiators, cooling fan, and small parts.
I have seen 250's for under $1000 new and could have probably sold mine for around $600. So I probably spent more than I could buy one for, but I have better engine, no cooling problems, and all the bugs worked put. Plus I now know this scooter intimately! All in all in my particular case I think it was worth it.
