Is it cutting out at WOT? If not then no problem. If it is then see above.

Need more details. Sounds like a bad coil to me. They can work when cold and then quit when warmed up. That is a WAS (wild arse guess). Do you have spark when it quits?

Even a 150 is a very small engine. If there is much of a vacume leak it won't run correctly. Replace the plastic spacer and then follow the directions listed above. You will have it running it running in no time.

Has anyone found a good way of repairing the starter drive on the 50cc engines? I have bean replacing them but that costs about $20.00 for me and $25.00 for my customers. I have gone through more of them then any other part this summer. I would love to save my customers some $. I just tried soaking the drive in carb cleaner for 24+ hours but haven't yet tried it in the scooter. Any help would be very welcome.

Looking forward to seeing temp readings before and after the cooler. This is a very interesting experiment.

Be NICE! I know I have posted things when I wasn't sure just where to put them. Keep in mind that the reason many of us our on this is because its a friendly place where you don't get flamed.

I have to admit, I charge 35.00 for an oil change but that includes synthetic oil with an ounce of zink replacement and a transmission change with synthetic. I also get 40.00 an hour for other repairs. I actually make more money fixing coots thwn at my actual job. Unfortunately once the snow files its all over.

The little bugger is a hoot to ride! With the added power and the motor moved forward it will actually do whealies. Top spend so far on level ground is 47mph checked with GPS and that's with a 250# rider.

Just a quick update. 500 km on her now with nary a problem. I never have to use the fan with the 2 radiator set up. I took it out on the interstate and was able to maintain 70mph but was a little squirrelly, much more comfortable at 55 to 60. Very good power. I don't know if its due to the fact that its a cart motor or the big carb and free flowing exhaust.

I buy allot of parts from them. I recently ordered 2 crankshafts from them and they were packaged so badly that they were destroyed bye banging together. They were VERY good about replacing them and actually sent out 2 new ones before I even sent the damaged ones back. The 2 replacement cranks were OK but not packaged much better then the first 2. Very good customer service and very quick shipping but if you need more then one crank order them separately.

They usually run out of power before they run out of gearing. After a big bore kit and CVT upgrades then a gearing change may be in order.

I think Alleyoop nailed it. Shure sounds like a clutch problem. Sometimes they come out or it on there own but follow his directions if it don't . I did work on a 150 trike where the clutch was so bad (out of round) that I had to replace it.
