Don't forget to ware clean socks and easy on/easy off shoes. They make you take your shoes off at the airport. I was coming back home from Main a few winters ago and I had on monster boots which was a pain in the rear to take off while holding all my crap and hundreds of grumbling people in line behind me at Logan int. airport

I would paint the chrome piece also and continue to use it. Should I try to find chrome paint, or just use the black for the extra piece?

Dear Abby,
I've never written to you before, but I really need your advice on what could be a crucial decision. I've suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me.
The usual signs… Phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with the girls a lot recently although when I ask their names she always says, "Just some friends from work, you don't know them."
I always stay awake to look out for her taxi coming home, but she always walks down the drive. Although I can hear a car driving off, as if she has gotten out of the car round the corner. Why? Maybe she wasn't in a taxi?
I once picked her cell phone up just to see what time it was and she went berserk and screamed that I should never touch her phone again andwhy was I checking up on her.
Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn't want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her.
I decided I was going to park my Harley Davidson motorcycle next to the garage and then hide behind it so I could get a good view of the whole street when she came home. It was at that moment, crouching behind my Harley, that I noticed that the valve covers on my engine seemed to be leaking a little oil.
Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to the dealer?

I saw several member paint there muffler so I decided to follow suite.I make no claims to be a pro at this but I did spend a lot of time on it. The sanding was the longest. I picked up some 1500 degree grill paint from wally-world and BAMM! good as new. Does it look better with or without the heat guard. I left the chrome piece that goes on the very end of the muffler off. It was just to nasty to put back on. I had the same problem, although mine fell off quite some time ago I finally got around to fixing it the other while doing a lot of other bolt replacements. I found it in Lowes although mine was m8 1.25 I added thread lock to mine.

Yea I'll probable dig around for some sort of rubber , I wounder if a small door stopper would work, It's a good hard rubber. maybe a bolt through the center and a nut on the back end will do it.

Oh summer days are leaving. I have had thin short and T-shirts for the last several months. Tonight I left in the day when it was warm but when I came home still in shorts and T-shirt I was a little chilly. I guess I'll go back to keeping a windbreaker in my storage.

I did some trouble shooting and I found the spot that (seems to) makes the noise when the center stand locks in place(resting) it seems to makes the noise. If I use my hand and just barely take the pressure of the noise seems to stop. I took a little piece of plastic and put it between the contacts which seems to work but I don't think that is gonna be a long term fix. any ideas? Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I found a large hole where a bolt goes, I must have lost it when I re-assembled it. I replaced it hopeful it would help but no, I still makes the noise. It is definitely does not make any noise when the center stand is holding it.But as soon as I take it of the stand it starts, whether Its running or not. Although when it runs it does seem to be worse, maybe the vibration of the engine causes whatever the "squeaky part" is to rub more? All I know is people are looking at me funny now whenever they hear me coming:) lol

I get asked a lot about mine, I think most peoples image of scooters are the broken 50cc that aren't taken care of and end up slowing cars down on the road. When i tell them it can easily do 55 mph (60 if I use my feet) and that it gets 70-80 mpg. There always impressed One kid said.."I'll never be able to afford a fancy one like yours" WOW! I was really taken aback by that comment. I told him it was only 1000$ shipped to my door. He was all excited and wanted to get one.Maybe I helped him decide.. And of course there's the little kids with there parents... "LOOK MOMMY!!! a MOTORCYCLE!!" "vrmmm, VRRMMM!"Tom

that's weird as soon as I put it on the center stand all the noise stops.. I jiggled it, bounced it revved it and maybe even dry-humped it. not a sound..what does that mean?

Ok so I got the breaks replaced, (stupid pins stuck, what a pain) and got a fan cover, so the important things are done. but for the love of god! the noise is driving me crazy.. I think it is more then one thing causing the noises which would explain why I couldn't tell what was making it at first. It seems to squeak with the engine. It also seems to squeak when it bounces or moves. maybe shocks? It didn't make any noises before I took it apart so I wounder if maybe it got wet/rust from sitting outside. I had a tarp over the frame, and the engine was never outside. Maybe I need to grease some joints or something.
