It's totally unsafe for the pedal bicyclist as well. Not only no face protection but also no puncture resistance. Richard, you may be a PITA,jk, but, I totally agree with ya on this one.

I still say that, with frequent changes at regular intervals (1000 miles) it don't matter what kinda oil is used (syn or dino).

I witnessed a guy drop a Triumph Rocket, at a stop light, stopped, and suffered major head injuries.

Yup Something that's been trouble free for 37,000 miles is surely something to walk away from.
But, I would like to know the definition of 'nothing has been done to it'. Can we assume he has done the regular routine maint, and has had no major issues with it. I was under the impression that reg maint was 90% of a trouble free vehicle. Especially a name brand (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki) scoot. But, if you want something perfect, than your only choice is to buy a name brand scoot brand new.

My ex knew how to handle a screwdriver also. Fortunately I ducked and she missed. Happily divorced for over 14 years. Life is good

Good decision. Best to wait for something worthwhile than jump at something that's not perfect.

I always wear a full face. Hot, glasses, hair, in stock, expensive, cheap: what is your head worth
I'm not worried about me hitting something. I'm concerned about who/what will hit me. (Like a 1999 GMC Jimmy driven by John Delong while on his way to the Longhorn Steakhouse happy hour, at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon, May 4, 2012)
(Yes, I was wearing my helmet)

Lemme see, a scoot coupe, 50cc for $6,000 or an Elio? Lemme see, a polaris slingshot for $25,000, or an Elio for $6,000 Each of you can decide what you want, but me thinks Elio gives me what I need.

+1 on bad battery, as it's consistent. It's like it's asleep, and needs to be woken up. Some day, it won't wake up.
