Yes actually, that is peachy keen. What's the difference between 8 miles per hour on a scooter and 8 miles per hour on a bicycle? Not to mention this sidewalk is wide enough for THREE bicycles. Not to mention if it's not illegal! I don't know what kind of sidewalks you're riding on, but it sounds like your sidewalks are filled with oil spills or something. I don't feel like arguing what's right and what's wrong. I would rather be on a sidewalk and not worry about CARS going 45 miles per hour that can flatten you at any moment.
Like I said I don't want to argue. This happened and there is no undoing it. It was an accident. It's not like he wanted to lay it down.

All I have to say is you two guys are not the sharpest knifes in the drawer. And you two will not learn until one of you gets hurt really bad or worse. I can't help but feel a tad hurt by that statement. Think what you want, but I know where I stand in terms of my intelligence and common sense. He learned his lesson and he doesn't want to do any stupid stuff like that again. And like I said, I try to be as safe as possible, just like everyone else here.

Hey, I don't ride like that! I try to be as careful as humanly possible! My brother is quite the opposite I don't want to sound like an irresponsible rider, because I'm not! Despite my name, of course. As for the shock, that's not my problem. And over here there is no problem with riding on the sidewalk. I've even asked police officers and they said just limit your speed to what other bikers would. So I do.

I think you guys should switch over to bicycles, anything with a motor I don't think you guys are ready for. Nah. You can never learn without experience! The day I stop riding my scooter is the day that I'm DEAD!

Ouch,,,,,,a word of advice plant,,,,remember when i was urging you to get a dual sport?,,,,when i'm on my way home i'm looking for stuff to hit,,,jumps, bumps, holes anything is fair game on one of those,,, Yes, I do remember that recommendation. Maybe he should get one, since he likes jumps! I personally don't like that kind of danger, and I've only done that jump at 15MPH once! So much for riding our scooters out to a restaurant tonight

Looks like my brother should now officially have my title of faceplant, since he just took the worst fall of all today. We were riding on a sidewalk coming home today, me on my scooter and him on his Honda Elite 80. On this sidewalk there is a small bridge that is slightly elevated, so if you go over it at say 15 MPH, you jump a little bit into the air, which is great fun if you don't go too fast. Unfortunately, he decided to hit this ramp at 40 MPH. His rear shock was broken before-hand, but since the bike did not absorb the impact, his rear tire lifted off the ground, tilted the bike sideways, and flung him off. He held onto the handlebars and the bike drug him a good 20 45 feet before coming to a stop. He's pretty dinged up. Oddly enough the Honda Elite took barely any damage despite the intense fall. A minor scuff on the mirror, a broken reflector, and the right side foot peg had it's bottom broke off it. The bike looks like the fall never happened. He on the other hand, does not. He wanted me to take some pics and share them on here. DO NOT OPEN THE LINK IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE SIGHT OF BLOOD AND INJURIES!!! imgur.com/a/tUml0#0

It's just like how the Honda Ruckus is over engineered and has already failed on us despite that it only has 2xxx miles on it. Because Honda included so many things that could go wrong, when things do go wrong they are an expensive fix. For example, the fuel pump on the ruckus is electric and it's $65, well that's too bad that our fuel pump failed on it, looks like it won't be running for awhile. And then once you get one problem fixed it's another. The Honds Ruckus actually had an engine control unit, and it needed to be reset after replacing parts. Can you believe that Honda would put a whole engine control computer into a 50cc scooter? It's ridiculous. If that thing ever fails you might as well get another bike. But our chinese scooters? If something fails, big deal it probably won't be catastrophic and it will be a cheap fix.

It's been a long time since all our scooters were ready to go at the same time. But seeing how I now have a repaired throttle cable and my Dad put his airbox back on his bike..we all went out for some ice cream tonight. That's right The gangs all here..

I don't know about fun. Trying to remove a rare earth magnet from a frame is quite the dilemma. That's what took so long.

Working on these machines is actually very rewarding in the pocketbook,,,taking the bike to a shop would have been $150 minimum plus the part cost,,,you just saved a ton o dough joe So I guess I just saved $142.

I got the new cable today. The new cable was slightly longer. I went ahead and tried to thread the cable down the front like I thought it would go and the cable seemed like it kept being attracted towards something..on further inspection, that rare earth magnet that I lost on my frame 3 months ago decided to make an appearance, exactly where I couldn't get to it. I ended up stripping down more plastics than I had ever stripped down before just to get the magnet detached from the frame. From there I routed the cable a couple times (I had to route it a couple times because the routes I took were too tight). Eventually I got the cable seated in correctly with no play in the throttle and it working fully. It took me close to three hours to complete this repair including putting mirrors and all plastics on. All apart... OOOHHHH WE'RE HALFWAY THERE WHOOOAAA LIVIN ON A PRAYER On a side note I don't believe the cable is routed as efficiently as it couldn't be, as I can turn my handlebars and still get a slight increase in RPM from the cable binding somewhere.

Even with perfect machining of parts, there would still be the noise of the starter flying out and engaging the flywheel. Of at least I would think so. Unless the Ruckus uses some other way of starting.
Which is also something quite interesting. I can't find a single thing on how the Honda Ruckus works. Searching the Internet yields me nothing in terms of it's starting system.

Who knew that US currency is so good at deadening sound. And is impervious to the shredding of meshing gears.
