Did you use the strings or the mushroom plugs? I got a nail the 1st month I had the 250, rear tire, and used the string plugs for about 4 months. Then I put some of the liquid stop leak in. Does not work well with the cement n strings.

NADA will probably show a little higher value than Kelly. The best way to value it is to check craigs list and see what others in a 500 mile area are selling for. If you can wait, sell it in the spring, when scooter fever hits. Traditionally, values are higher when the buyer is looking forward to riding at least for a few months right away. Likewise, if you are buying, wait till fall or early winter to get the best deals.. Hope that helps..

on the mc-79 its on the lower left, as you sit on the bike. I would guess that most of the radiators on the 250's are sourced from the same factory, so it should be there.

The fact that the fan isn't on when the scoot is on the center stand makes me think that there may be a pinched wire. Normal ops is that the fan is off until the temp sensor in the radiator gets to around 190 or so. The sensor causes a closed circuit and the fan starts and runs till the temp drops. Any other fan operation is abnormal, either because the sensor is bad, has been removed from the circuit, or because there is a break or ground in the wiring.

Lots of people have found the fan being hardwired to run all the time. If it comes on when the key turns on then that is the first thing to fix. If you check the wiring at the radiator it is usually not even connected, just wired together.

While I don't know if you can get differing temperature thermostats, there are a few things to consider. If the temperature gauge is like most of the other chino gauges, then you cant really know for sure how accurate the gauge is. I'm presuming that this is your first coming winter with the scooter. I would see how well it works as the temperature drops. A quick and easy way to increase the temperature if there is a problem would be to cut small cardboard slats to decrease the airflow through the radiator. Do you know if your fan comes on? If the system is always cold, putting a switch in the fan circuit won't matter, cause you wont be turning it on anyway. If the fan is coming on now, and your gauge reads as you have said, then the gauge is wrong. It should be turning on when you are above the half way mark. hope that's some help.

Their site registration through godaddy shows that they have been active since Aug 27, 2013 and that they are based in nanjing China. Not long enough to have an established track record or anything in the way of reviews. Certainly a company to keep an eye on. Had their site been Nigerian based there would have been no doubt at all.

I ordered from them about 3 months ago for a backup, same belt pictured. It arrived quickly. Looks and feels good, but I haven't installed it yet. Note that the belt that is shown and being sold is their standard belt. The copy in the ad above it says that they now carry a premium belt, but the one being sold is the standard.

The headlight is really the only piece of running gear that I should upgrade on my scooter. It's alright on streets with some streetlights, but just hasn't the power to light up the road on low beam. Just acceptable on high. But the tail light system is absolutely great, a bank of 21 leds.

Well, the roketa 127 looks nice, but this kinda worries me:
Headlights: Bright enough to get you through any time in the evening. Beautifully designed to catch your eyes.
And I think it is pretty funny that a lot of the big heavy "real" motorcycles sold in the US of A are used for commuter bikes, most never going further than 40 or 50 miles from town. I use my roketa 250 as my daily driver and my 1200 for the open highway. Only once in a while do I change that around.
there are lots of nice scooters that we never get onto our shores.

Yeah, that sounds a little brutal. 2000 miles @ 25mph is 80 hours. 9 days give you just under 9 hours in the saddle each day for a minimum average. If you break it up and ride 4 hours in the early morning, and 5 in the afternoon, it would help, but i'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to get back on by the second day. I salute them, but I wouldn't try it on less than a 150cc scooter, and would be more comfy with at least a 250.
