Maybe wrong stator in the new motor .. Went thru somma that on a motor swap. My new motor came with a ac rectifier . ( was DC originally) . Long story short.. Old motor had 6 pole stator.. New Motor had 8 pole stator..and didnt work right on any of the electrics. wouldnt even charge the battery and blew bulbs at a rev..Had to take the old stator and flywheel and put in on the new motor.. That was my lil ordeal

Hey John ! I called U a while back about the drum to disc conversion..Another thing I found , Less grinding would have occurred if I had 13 inch rims or bigger. Also had to cut the round lip off the edge of the brake drum houseing

I converted the drum engine to disc,,The rear caliper mounts on the swing-arm .. Had to do some serous grinding around axle shaft esp around the brake pin.. Had to grind the brake pin off as well, Too late to post a pic ( my bad )..But it can be done with a side grinder. Also, I have 12 inch wheels that threw a curve into the project
