i actually bought a bigger atv battery and just left my battery cover off. The plastic flap covers it just fine and i never put my feet there anyway. Might bother some people but not me so much.

The only thing I dislike about a lot of china bikes is how long and tedious a process it is to get off the plastics. So that makes the helix sound even better.

Have you tried adjusting the mixture screw? It could also just be that you need to raise the idle speed. Start with the simple stuff first. i had a TaoTao that did the same thing and after a couple of cleanings of the carb I gave up and just bought a new carb. Ran great after that.

I've check it out all over, there was a few things that needed tightening (nothing major) but the noise and the vibration is still there. Maybe I worry too much but it really bothers me. It gets so strong at points but then will go away for awhile. It seems to do it more, or i notice it more, when I'm going downhill or at a steady pace. I'm stumped.

The more I look at the Helix, and it's clones, the more I'm liking them. They remind me so much of my little elite. It's def on my radar for next spring, when I go bigger.

I had the same exact problem with a Taotao. I cleaned the carb twice and thought it look perfect both times, and it still would do the same exact thing as you described. Finally got sick of it and bought a new carb, and it ran perfect.

I had to upgrade to a 150 to enjoy the country roads around here. They are so curvy and people drive so fast, I would just be asking for it on a 50cc. I loved my 50cc it just wasn't practical here.
