I don't hear anything our of the ordinary either. I'm the same way though, oversensitive to noises and what not when it comes to my scooter.

Great idea stopping and asking about laws! I also like to be sure of things like that. China scooters def turn heads! I get at least a dozen people eyeballing mine every time I'm out on it. I'm sure some are giggling at me but some seem sincerely interested in it.

All my troubles with the trunk rattling came from the lid and bottom hitting together. I just got used to it but I can see how it would drive some people nuts.

I really do think i would like it out west somewhere better. The summers here get pretty hot but like you said it's not dry heat. The humidity here is terrible.

I use seafoam a lot now but supertech is also pretty good.

Our law is similar in VA. If it isn't over 50cc it's considered a moped and you don't have to title it, register, or have a motorcycle permit to ride it. It also states that if it goes over 35 it's considered a motorcycle. Many people in my area ride 150's and just never break 30mph. The cops around here aren't very savvy when it comes to this stuff. I don't do it personally because if I'm riding a 150cc I want to use all the speed it can give me.

I've got a 50cc tng venice in the garage i'm fixing up to sell next spring. I'd say go for it, man. Just make sure to keep them winterized until spring, of course.
