Love the post and congratulations. I love my scooter and the fact that it continues to run based upon my own efforts.

I'm so glad this thread was recycled because I missed the whole thing when it happened. This was really great work - thanks very much for sharing the whole process.

Let me piggy back on this -- I just adjusted my valves on the Vog (257 cc Linhai) to .004 in and .006 out. Now I have an audible tic tic tic . . . ., almost a knock knock knock , that I didn't have before. I checked again and the clearances were right. I'll need to let it cool down before checking again, but perhaps the out is too big? some people say .005. Some people also say ignore it because they'll tighten up anyway. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

There is an Indian dealer near me, and they've even done a great stylizing job on the building itself. I like that the Victory's look a little different from everything else out there too.

I ride a Vog 260 (Linhai clone). Today I pretty much stripped the oil plug bolt head, and need to get one of those sockets that take off damages bolts. The gatorgrip was useless.
They want $27 plus shipping for a new plug at BMS, but there were lots of posts I've found that the MC-250B with the Linhai motor can take a yamaha morphous plug part 5RU 15351 00 00. The above post, however, says that the 250B and the Vog have different plugs apparently even though they both have a Linhai clone motor.
Can anyone else offer any insight? If daver above is right (he certainly sounds like he is) I guess I'll see if he has any left! Thanks in advance.
