I have no memory of Walmart memory but I do remember multiple eye bleachings....
I do however remember something about those greenish-brown bubbles in the bath... It has been sooooo long ago, I can't remember why the color was important... Something about.... -Damn, I just can't remember those things back before fire. FIRE!!!! Yes, FIRE was important. I am going back to sleep now.

They are supposed to have the largest collection of Soviet hardware outside of Moscow and the largest collection of US hardware outside of the Smithsonian. I don't know if that is true or ever was. They do have an impressive collection of both.
China has probably sent spies to photograph everything. LOL
That SR-71 is impressive.

How does it do on rough surfaces?

For fuel filters look at the auto parts store or even hardware stores where they sell all the lawnmower parts. Get the biggest filter that will fit your line.

See? this video is what i'm talking about.... and they are blaming the unexpected gusty winds??? the Nerve!!.... they should look at the quality of their work before they blame Mother Nature... video---------> No wind gust, look again! They forgot to unhook the extension cord. On the other hand, I am willing to bet they eventually land someone on the Moon. Getting them back may take longer.... There is another very interesting space exhibit to visit. Go to the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson Kansas. The last time I was there they had all the period US and Russian hardware standing across from each other in a timeline type of exhibit. The differences in design philosophy were extraordinary. www.cosmo.org/

The space race fueled our technology and standard of living.
We should have never left the Moon. There should be a large colony there by now with a large spaceflight infrastructure built up.

My new scoot had a wet cell battery that was sickly from the start. I could never get it to take more than just a 'surface' charge. The battery had one cell that just would not work. I was impatient and did not want to wait for a replacement under warranty so I installed an old used sealed lead acid (SLA) out of a computer UPS unit. It no longer had the capacity to run the UPS but it did just fine for the scoot. It is still working great. I got rid of those crappy bolted connections at the same time and converted everything over to 1/4" spade lugs. The local parts store wanted over $50 for a new wet cell but a 12V 7AH SLA replacement can be had for $15 online.
I still have the warranty replacement wet cell sitting dry on a shelf. I have a set of bolt-on 1/4" spade lug adapters in my parts box.

Intermittent problems are the most challenging.

Give the Solenoid a whack and try again if still clicks, then JUMP the two terminals on the SOLENOID and if your battery is good it will spin your starter and start. If it spins your starter then you need a new SOLENOID. Alleyoop Whack it with a hammer is old school. I thought I was the only one that did stuff like that. LOL OP- Since the problem did not move with any part you changed the problem is in a part you didn't change. Salt air is nasty stuff. Most of the problems on my scoot were due to exposure on the container-ship and in a warehouse in LA.

Did you charge the battery before using it?
Is the large red wire from the battery to the starter solidly connected on both ends? Are the crimped ends good?

My imported helmet supposedly meets DOT specs, -but who really knows. It fits very snug, I even have to spread it a little when putting it on. I wish it had better ventilation over the top of my head.
It really doesn't matter much because if I take a hit, body or head, I am done for anyway. Diabetes is not conducive to healing. I fall somewhere every day so I don't even have to be on a scoot to get borked.

Yeah, when the choke is closed it actually decreases the pressure in the venturi so the atmospheric pressure in the float bowls pushes more fuel through the jets. It can't close completely and differential air pressure 'pulls' it open. Carbs are always fun to play with. They are little mechanical marvels. The end result of a real choke or an enricher is a richer mixture entering the combustion chamber.
With this little scoot carb it is going to be interesting to see if I can just cover the air intake snorkle with my fingers to 'choke' it if necessary. I haven't studied out all the passageways and actions in that carb to see if the fuel bowl is vented externally so it sees atmospheric pressure from outside of the airstream. It may be vented by that drain tube. The pressure fluctuations may be enough to enrich the mixture anyway with the spring above the fuel needle.
Peering through passageways and tracking vents is just no fun anymore with my failing eyesight and no short term memory. I can't even carry on a verbal conversation. According to the doctors my brain was 88 years old in 2010, that makes it 92 now. It has not improved with the passing years. Dementia is very real.
That Holley carb does not have atmospheric bowl vents. The bowls vent to the intake airstream through those angle cut brass tubes into the air filter flange. Holley carbs were super tunable and adaptable to varying conditions.

Same as the automatic choke on a regular vehicle carb. Heat from electricity or combustion after the engine is started pulls(turns) it off.

First off, do you have a reasonable schematic for your scoot?
The problem is probably not a fuse or the flasher since other lights work.
Most likely the problem is a dirty or corroded contact in the switch. A bug or something could have crawled in there. Try turning the switch on and off many times. Push on it and wiggle it sideways a bit. Some contact cleaner or WD-40 sprayed into the switch may also help.
A wire from the switch or connector could be broken or loose also. To identify which wire it is may take some luck and a schematic. The control wires rub against body panels when the handle bars are moved. Wires or connections can pull loose.
